"Hey, let's see the fireworks." Luke said after a while.
Charlene nodded eagerly and glanced at the clock. "It's starting in 10 minutes."
"Where?" Gab asked.
"We can always watch it from my balcony."
"You have balcony?!" She asked incredulously. "I don't have one in my flat! This is so unfair!" Gab grabbed her last pizza and finished it in a blink of an eye. "Where is the balcony? I wanna see." She said, hands on her hips.
Luke chuckled, standing up and unconciously put his hand on her back and led her to the balcony. The touch gave a weird sensation to her, she felt a jolt of electricity from it and
she liked his touch.
He pulled aside a long grey curtain that was covering the doors that led to the balcony. She snorted, no wonders she didn't spot the balcony before.
Charlene was already running past them and pushed the doors open and got outside. Luke and gabriella soon followed. Cold december wind blew her hair as she stared at the sky above them.
It was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
The moon was full (no, she didn't see any werewolves.) , the sky was dark blue with thousands stars shining brightly decorating the sky, as if they were celebrating new year too. After a moment, explosions were heard. And then bright sparks of colors started to illuminate the dark sky, people cheered at the spectacular sight above them. She didn't realise there was someone else at the balcony beside luke's until he cheered loudly.
"Hey Luke!" He screamed.
"Sup, Mason!" Luke screamed back over the sounds of explosions.
"Bringing a girl into your flat, huh?" The guy smirked. Gab rolled her eyes and decided to just enjoy the sight before her, ignoring the guy.
She could sense Luke rolling his eyes too. All of them stopped talking and looked at the sky, it was full of fireworks, dancing in the sky with various colors that successfully mesmerized them.
How long had it been since she last saw fireworks? It felt like forever.
"God, this is amazing." She gushed, charlene grinned at her, her eyes twinkling. She took gabriella's hand and luke's hand in her another hand. Gabriella smiled.
"This is so beautiful." Gabriella said as the sky shone with different shapes of fireworks, flashing restlessly at the people below them. Different shades of blue, purple, green, and many more colors were filling the previously calm sky.
"I know." Luke replied. When she turned to look at him, he was already staring intently at her, smiling.
Gabriella didn't know why, but heat rushed to her cheeks immediately and she knew she was now as red as the fireworks.
Was he really talking about the fireworks?
She smiled at him. "The best new year's eve I have ever experienced."
He arched his brow. "Really?"
"Well, I never celebrated new year before." She shrugged. "Thank you, Loki." She really meant it.
"You're welcome, hun bun." He smiled too.
"Happy new year!!" Charlene screamed and turned around to face them both, grinning widely.
"Happy new year too, charlene." Luke and gab said simultanously. They looked at each other and laughed.
"Happy new year, Luke."
"Happy new year, Gabriella."
