On wednesday, Luke showed up with a grin on his face. Though from his desperate voice yesterday, gabriella knew it was faked.

"Luke.." She sighed.

"Is something wrong, hun bun?" He asked, gesturing her to smile with his fingers. She smiled a little.

"You can tell me anything, you know."

His expression changed. "What do you mean?"

Should she tell him that she heard a girl's voice in his room yesterday? But it would make her sound like a stalker, and it would probably scare him away.

Alright, if she were luke, what would she want herself to do?

She would want her to be honest.

"Promise not to be mad at me?"

He let out a nervous chuckle. "What are you talking about, abby?"

"Just promise."

"Alright, I promise."

"When I didn't find you here in the elevator yesterday, I went to your flat to check on you."

"Ah, I knew it. You just couldn't help yourself, can you? You're obsessed with me." He smirked.

"Luke, I'm serious." She stared at his eyes. "I heard a girl's voice. And your voice. And another man's voice."

His body immediately stiffened. The elevator door opened, but he quickly pressed the Door Close button.

"What did you hear?" His voice deep and quite intimidating beside her.

"No- I didn't hear much. I just heard the girl crying, and you said something about how you didn't know what you were supposed to do, really that was all."

"You know you shouldn't eavesdrop, gabriella!" He said, his tone slightly rising.

She flinched at his tone. "I- I'm sorry, luke. I quickly got away when I heard your voice, I swear."

His breathing was getting more erratic by each second. And she wondered if she shouldn't have told him that.

Finally, he sighed and released the button he was holding and let the door open.

"I'm sorry for snapping, abby." He said lowly as she got out of the elevator.
