Gabriella didn't see luke on saturday morning. You could say she already expected that.

But she didn't think Luke would have the guts to show up at bakeraaay later that day.

"Hey, abby." He smiled.

"Hey?"

"Do you think you could sit with me for a second?"

"Um, I don't think I can, Luke. There are still many customers wanting to order their cakes."

"Oh, okay." He said. "I just wanted to give you this." Luke grinned, handing her a small navy box.

She took it confusedly. "Okay?"

"Okay." He said. "Happy birthday, abby. And merry christmas!"

He remembered her birthday?

"Wow, I didn't think you would actually remember my birthday, luke." She said, couldn't keep herself from grinning like a child on christmas. Which was quite literal by the way; it was christmas.

Ever since she moved to her flat, no one but her mom had ever congratulated her on her birthday. Not even autumn, and she was like, the only person gaby really considered as a friend.

"I'm flattered, thank you. And merry christmas too, luke."

"You're welcome, abby." He grinned and walked out of the bakery.

Hey, hun bun.

Firstly, I wanted to apologise for what I said yesterday. I don't think I apologised then, did I? About the trust thing, I mean.
I didn't mean what I said, I swear. You know I trust you.

I'm sorry too for not explaining why I suddenly showed up at your flat and just left charlene with you there like that. I just thought you wouldn't care, because it had nothing to do with you. But I promise it totally had nothing to do with my trust on you.

And lastly, happy birthday, gabriella! Meet me at Sweetbrew tomorrow? And I hope you like the gift :-) sorry if you don't like it though. I didn't know what you wanted, and I just thought it would look good on you. :-)

Luke

She put the small paper on her bed and took a silver necklace out of its box.

It was just a normal necklace with a tiny white bunny pendant hanging from the chain. She found herself smiling at the sight of it.

Gabriella was never a girl that wore jewellery, but she decided she liked the necklace and put it on.
