She brought a book with her on tuesday.

She held the book right in front of her face as Gabriella stepped into the elevator and she was planning to keep holding the book the entire time. Why? Wasn't it obvious? She didn't want Luke to be able to touch her face like he did the previous day.

His touch gave a weird sensation to her. Each touch was like a firework and it left a tingling feeling on her skin, leaving her wanting more of it. She didn't know why, though. Luke had touched her before, hadn't he? Yet she found herself wanting him to touch her hair, her cheeks, her nose, her lips and every other parts of her body. It was a strange feeling, she couldn't get used to that.

"The fault in our stars?" Luke read the title.

It was the only book she owned, Autumn bought it for her saying that that's the most incredible book ever and it will change her opinion about books.

Nah, she still hated reading.

"Umm. Yeah." She said.

As Luke walked closer to her, she held the book higher so he wouldn't be able to see her face.

He chuckled. "Hun bun, is there something wrong with your neck or you just love to read like that?"

"Uh.. I think I sprained my neck yesterday.." She pretended to rub her neck with one hand. But guess the book was too heavy to be held up with a hand only, it fell out of her grip and her face got hit by the hardcover. She yelped.

Luke immediately caught the book with one hand and handed it back to her. He  touched the spot below her left eye where the book hit her and caressed it. "Are you okay?"

She took a deep breath. "Yup."

It came out as a squeak.

The elevator opened. "Good." He smiled, before walking out of it.
