Lisa:

At some point, the figure stops. I slow down, and keep to the shadows. I don't think the thief knows if I am still here, so I keep quiet. The thief sits down, revealing from the light the lantern gives off that they have sat down next to another person. The second person must have been waiting for the thief, because they throw their arms around the thief instantly. I study the features of the second person. It seems to be a small girl, probably about ten years old, dressed in the same way the thief is. Tears are coming from her face, and she looks very happy. I look at the thief. I think the thief is a girl, about fourteen years old. I'm guessing the two are sisters.

These two aren't tributes, like I first thought. How did two girls get into the Arena? Do the Capitol know about this? I'm guessing not. But that's impossible, they film our every move. Well, the tributes' every move. Which means there could be a chance that we're all on Live TV right now, in front of the whole nation. Those two girls are in deep trouble. So, instead of interfering, I just slip away the way I came, avoiding them. Those girls need as much help as possible, and me standing there watching them isn't helping. I run down the tunnels, taking random paths, no longer caring whether I am leading to freedom, or another hideous tunnel monster.

I watch the TV in front of me, barely believing my eyes. Lisa Simpson has disappeared. Completely. One minute, she was standing in front of a dead end, lantern in hand, wondering what to do next. Then, someone takes it from her. That is all the coverage we have got from Lisa in the last few hours. All the Capitol has shown us since then is footage of the Careers, or the District 5 boy, and that girl. Is she from District 12? I'll have to check on the next broadcast. She'll have bound to have died by then. The pair of them are desperate. It's strange that those two reached the Second Floor before the Careers. I suppose the Capitol wanted to give them a chance, but in my personal view, the Capitol should hurry up and let the Careers into Floor Two. That would make these Games more interesting. But, I'm not complaining. There's rumours that the Capitol is planning to kill off Lisa Simpson tomorrow, which should be entertaining...

Lisa:

Finally, after hours of wandering around in the dark, I come to something other than solid wall and reeking corpses. I see a hole in the wall, close to the ground. The only reason I can see through this hole is because there is actual light coming from- another tunnel? I don't know. My mood rises immediately, and I crouch down to look through. I can see the other side. My prediction is correct; there is another tunnel. And it looks exactly like the one I was in before I got into this awful place and fought the monster. I want to cry with happiness and relief. I really believed that I would be wandering around those tunnels for the rest of my life. Instantly, I wriggle through the gap in the wall, and slide out to the other side.

I stand up, and brush myself off. Well, I try to. There is a thick layer of grime and dirt all over me, so I look like a tunnel monster myself. I get my sleeve, and try to wipe the grime off my face, but it only makes it worse. I've never been so dirty in my life. I wrinkle my nose, and grab my bag from off the floor. I walk down the tunnel, hoping that I'll find some sort of water soon, so I'll be able to wash as well as drink. As I walk, I notice how my clothes are a lot baggier than how they used to be at the start of the Games. Inevitably, I have lost weight, but I was never a very large person. Although at times I used to be insecure about my weight, I never thought that I was so uncomfortable with my body that I would try to change it. This means that I'm now very skinny. Which means I need to get more food soon too. If I'm lucky, the Capitol will provide both food and water within the next few days. If I'm unlucky, nothing will show up, and I'll eventually starve to death in the Arena. No pressure on Clancy and Snake then to get me and Millhouse more sponsors then...

Back at the Capitol:

In the street, people turn and stare at a peculiar woman walking around, begging people for food. Although her outfit shows that she used to have very fashionable Capitol-like clothes, passersby look at the woman in disgust. She obviously hasn't bathed for days, and could even be mistaken for someone from the Districts, if it wasn't for her Capitol style, and accent. Only a select few could identify who this woman is. But, she has changed so much that even those people would have to check twice before confirming that this person is none other than the stylist...

...Diana LaValle herself.
