Chapter 6 – Feeling Dizzy
(Ayaats' POV)
I woke up in the morning to loud noises in the house. I jumped out of bed and walked downstairs to where the noises where coming from.
"Since when do you care about me, if I live or die why do you care?" I heard Atif's voice, he was yelling.
"Don't raise your voice at me, I'm your father!"
"You may be my father by name but you and I have no relation at all!"
"ATIF" his mum exclaimed
I swallowed hard and slowly walked down the stairs.
"Ammi (mum), please go from here," I heard Atif yell
"Naaziya, you are not going anywhere!" Atif's father growned
"Look Asad, calm down, let's go from here," Atif's mother saying panicking
"Why should we go from here, if Atif does and says something why do you ignore it, I am his father, whether he likes it or not, many years have gone by and not once has he accepted me or given me a tad of respect, I can't always handle this attitude!"
"RESPECT YOU, HAVE YOU TAKEN A GOOD LOOK AT YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR!" Atif growled
"Atif, just stop!" his mother spoke horrified.
"WHY SHOULD I STOP AMMI (mum) THIS MAN CAN NEVER TAKE THE PLACE OF MY FATHER, NEVER, WHY WONT YOU UNDERSTAND, I HAVE NEVER OBJECTED YOUR MARRIAGE BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOUR HUSBAND CAN INTERVENE INTO MY LIFE, HASN'T HE DONE ENOUGH, HE WON HIS GOAL BY TRAPPING YOU IN HIS LOVE SO WHAT MORE DOES HE WANT!"
As I walked towards the kitchen I heard a loud slap and I placed my back against the wall and peak my head through to see what was happening. Atif's mother had slapped Atif.
"Ammi, you-"
"Did I give birth to you so you can talk like this, Atif, what has happened to you?"
"Ammi you, you raised your hand because for him!"
"Atif, when will you grow up, how many times should I repeat myself, how many times do I have to make you understand that this is your father, why won't you accept and acknowledge this!"
"If he was alive today then-" Atif began to say
"HE ISN'T ALIVE, WAKE UP FROM YOUR PAST AND LOOK AT THIS REAL LIFE ATIF, UNTIL WHEN WILL YOU KEEP PLACING A CURTAIN OVER THE TRUTH! I HAVE MARRIED ASAD, HE IS YOUR FATHER WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT, IT WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU CAN ACCEPT THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!"
