Chapter 22

"Will you be okay?" Yoobi was so worried about Ahyeon. Yoobi and Hyeri knows that Ahyeon is still not in a good condition. She may be a good singer but she might not be able to impress the judges if she failed to express the emotion of the song naturally.

"Uhm." Ahyeon nodded her head. "Just for a few minutes, I will be on the stage again. It feels nice to be back but..."

"You are bothered by something. You should've cleared your mind first." Hyeri said.

"No, I will be fine. Let's just hope for that." Ahyeon said and took a sip of driniking water.

"Fighting!" Yoobi and Hyeri cheered for Ahyeon before letting her walk to the stage.

"Ms. Baek Ahyeon. Contestant #24" The MC said.

There are 50 contestants and only 10 from these 50 will be performing on the main event to showcase their talent.

"Are you ready, Ms. Baek Ahyeon?" the MC asked and Ahyeon nodded. Then she cued for the music to start.

Ahyeon was confidently singing on the stage and surprisingly, she could show the emotions properly.

"That's our girl." Hyeri said.

"Definitely." Yoobi agreed.

Ahyeon smoothly ended the song and happily went down the stage.

"To celebrate the successful audition of Ahyeon, let's have a toast!" Juhyeon said and raised up her glass of apple juice.

"Why do we have apple juice? Shouldn't it be wine?" Hyeri complained.

"You are still under aged, I should not tolerate your habits. Right, mom?" Juhyeon said. "I am the one being punished here. But because I know you will want to drink a glass of wine, I chose to drink the same one as yours." She added.

Ahyeon's family celebrated her smooth audition with Hyeri and Yoobi.

"Why do you look, sad? You are again spacing out Ahyeon. What's wrong?" Yoobi asked.

"What's wrong? We all know what's wrong, Yoobi." Hyeri said.

"I mean... Can't you be happy for tonight? Your audition was good. Relax at least for this night." Yoobi said and leaned her head on Ahyeon's shoulder.

Ahyeon sighed and looked at the stars again, "Do you think I should fix everything? Before it gets worst?"

"How worst could it get? Come on. This is just like a childish quarrel between you and them, just like a misunderstanding. Let things cool down and talk to them about this." Hyeri said and laid her back on the bed. "Let's go to sleep, girls. Let's have some beauty rest." She added, causing Ahyeon and Yoobi burst out laughing.

"What?" Hyeri asked.

"Beauty rest, huh? Did I really hear it coming from you?" Ahyeon asked.

"Whatever!" Hyeri exclaimed and pulled her blanket up to her head.

"What should I do? There's really something that pulls me closer to them. I mean, I feel like something is missing just because I can't talk to them, especially Jinyoung and Bambam. Wait... Mark too? No. Not him, too." Ahyeon thought while her eyes were shut.

"How was the audition?" Yugyeom asked Youngjae.

"It was good. JB messed a bit." Youngjae teased.

"Yeah. Maybe because the judges were looking straight at the participants' eyes." Jinyoung said.

"How was the basketball game?" JB asked, changing the topic.

"Tss~ Just a piece of cake. Dongwoon told us to break a leg and look at Mark." Jackson said and pointed at Mark who was quietly sitting at the corner or the room.

"He literally broke his leg." Yugyeom said.

Then Jinyoung sat beside Mark and massaged his legs a little, "What happened?"

"I was just... dribbling the ball to the ring and then –"

Yugyeom cut Mark while he was talking, "He was thinking of something else while we were playing. And guess who it was."

"I know who it is." Youngjae said. "Oh! She did well in the audition earlier! Her song was sad but maybe because the message of the song was what she was feeling, she perfectly delivered the song. She will definitely pass the audition."

"Who? Wait. She? Who are we talking about?" JB asked.

"Of course she will pass! Ahyeon always sing on programs in our school." Youngjae said, already mentioned her name.

Upon hearing her name, JB, Jinyoung, Bambam, and Mark quickly averted their eyes to Youngjae.

"What?" Youngjae asked, causing the four boys to remove their eyes on him.

"It's already 10PM, we better sleep because you still have a practice game tomorrow." JB said and everyone went to their respective rooms.
