Chapter 6

That week probably was a light one. They didn’t have much assignments, nor quizzes. The professors did not give the students assignment for them to enjoy the weekend especially White Day. Yes, White Day. The first White Day that Yoobi and Ahyeon will not be alone together. Yoobi’s brother will be having a date with his girlfriend as well as Juhyeon with her boyfriend. Meanwhile, their parents will be at work just like an ordinary day.

“Are you ready?” JB asked and the boys nodded.

“Can we go to Yoobi’s house first?” Jackson asked.

“Jacskon? We are already here. Yoobi’s house is on the next street. We’ll go there after we fetch Ahyeon here.” Jinyoung said and turned to JB, “Ring the doorbell now.”

“Okay.” Then JB obediently did it and pressed on the doorbell.

The boys were so nervous about it. They’ve never asked any girl out on White Day, except for their fangirls. They used to ask their fangirls on a date on White Day and leave them anytime they want to, especially when they are already bored or they don’t like their dates anymore.

“Just a minute!” Ahyeon shouted.

The boys became more nervous. Yugyeom and Bambam kept on checking their hair on a mirror. Youngjae kept on straightening his shirt and checking out his shoes. JB and Jinyoung are nervously looking at the door, waiting for it to open. Mark was just leaning against the gate post, watching Jackson kicking pebbles on the floor.

 “Stop kicking those poor pebbles, Jackson. And you are just putting dirt on your shoes.” Mark told Jackson who can’t stay still.

Suddenly, the door clicked open and Ahyeon’s shoes were first visible. She was wearing a black sneakers, beautified with girly laces. The boys were stunned by her simple yet cute style. Paired with her half plaid banded skirt is her black sweatshirt and a black backpack with music clefs on print. She looks like she is going to hang out with her girlfriends.

Ahyeon carefully locked the door and walked towards the gate after.

“Faster, Ahyeon!” Jackson shouted, then the other boys just gave him death glares. “What?!” he complained.

“I’m sorry. It took me a few minutes to find my keys. Only to find out it was under my pillow.” Ahyeon explained. “Let’s go? Yoobi’s house is that way. A few steps by walking would be enough.” She said an they all started to walk to Yoobi’s house.

“Yoobi!”Ahyeon shouted. “Where’s the doorbell again?” She asked herself. “Ah!” Finally she remembered, so she pressed on the doorbell once.

“Bye, mom!” Yoobi said, waving her hand to her parents, and silently closed the door. As she turned around to face her friends, she showed them a warm smile and greeted “Good morning!”

“Good morning Yoobi!” Jackson greeted and stood beside Ahyeon. Ahyeon raised an eyebrow on Jackson and secretly pushed him away. “Stay away from her, Mr. Wang.” Ahyeon said making the other boys laugh and tease Jackson.

“What? But you promised me!” Jackson whined.

“Hm. You knew promises are made to be broken, right? So, I just did! I changed my mind.” Ahyeon said.

“Let’s go?” Yoobi asked after locking arms with Ahyeon.

The boys were more nervous while they were travelling to their destination. The girls were happily chatting with themselves. Jackson, on the other hand, kept on complaining about everything.

“Hey, Ahyeon, can we take a photo together?” Yugyeom asked her. Ahyeon nodded so Yugyeom immediately took a photo. “I’m going to post it on my SNS.”
