I'd actually love to have a bunch of tattoos, I think they're great. I really want a thigh tattoo.....

I have a sixteen-year old girl living in my bedroom.
Honestly, that's a sentence I never thought I'd say, but now it's happening, and it feels strange. Although I'm fully convinced that Maya isn't a criminal, I still feel like I'm helping one by letting her stay in my room. I'm just thankful that it's the middle of summer and I don't have to worry about school.
Probably the hardest thing about this is keeping her well-fed and healthy. "Maya? I'm back. I brought some chicken..." Maya emerges from the closet, her go-to hiding spot. "You do not understand how hard it was to get this. I couldn't just take it, you know, I'm a vegan and it'd be mighty suspicious --"
"I get it, I'm high maintenance, I apologize for needing food to survive." She rolls her eyes at me, taking the half-empty plate from my hand.
"S-Sorry." Maya sits down on my bed, muttering something about me taking everything seriously, and starts eating the food with her fingers.
"You know, Riley, you're actually kinda cool for a good girl," she says between bites. "I mean, any other good girl on the face of this earth wouldn't have given it a second thought before running downstairs and telling their mother that there's a strange girl in their bedroom. But you --" she points at me with a piece of broccoli "-- let me stay. And that makes you cool."
I smile. I actually like having someone to talk to who isn't a part of my family -- my only friends, Lucas and Farkle, are both at different all-summer-long camps.
"So, what do you want to do until it's time for bed?" I ask as she finishes her dinner, plopping down on the bed next to her and crossing my legs.
Maya turns so that she's facing me, kind of, and just looks at me. "I want to get to know you," she says finally. "I feel like you know everything about me, yet the only thing I know about you is that your name is Riley Matthews."
I nod slowly. "Yeah, okay. That seems fair."
"Alright. What's your favourite colour?"
"Every colour of the rainbow!"
Maya drops her head. "Oi. You're such a girl." She looks back up with a smirk, and I laugh. "Favourite animal?"
"Cats."
"I can roll with that. Cats are great. Okay, umm..... How old are you?"
"Fourteen. I'll be turning fifteen soon enough, though." I don't want her to think I'm a child, despite the fact that even if I'd just turned fourteen, it'd only be a two-year age difference.
"One more question. It's a little more personal." I nod. "What's your sexuality?"
