I got a 3DS (the new XL) and one game (Triforce Heroes), so I've been playing it all day long.

I wake up with Maya's leg draped across me, and the blankets on the floor. She's apparently not a very peaceful sleeper.
"Maya? Maya, wake up, it's morning."
Obviously not used to being woken in the morning (I tend to let her sleep for as long as she wants, due to her "bed" being the floor of my closet), she groans as I gently shake her awake.
Suddenly, there's a knock on the door. "Riley, are you up, sweetie?"
Oh my God oh my God oh my God.
"Hurry!" I mouth silently as Maya basically leaps from my bed, running into the closet and shutting the door behind her.
The door opens just as I'm standing up. "Of course I'm up, Mom."
"Okay.... Hey, do you need me to do laundry?" She walks over to my closet, and I shout as her hand touches the handle.
"No!" She looks at me like I'm crazy, and it probably seems like I am. "No, I have plenty of clean clothes."
She continues to stare at me for a while before saying, "Are you hiding something, Riley? You seem jumpy this morning."
"No, no, everything is peachy, Mother!"
"I don't believe you." She opens the closet door before I can reach her, and I brace myself for the worst. But the closet itself has no trace of a sixteen-year old girl.
Confused, I look up. On the shelf, curled into a ball, is Maya. My eyes grow wide when I see her, and she quietly raises a finger to her lips.
"Hm." Thankfully, my mother closes the door without glancing upward. "Maybe you aren't hiding anything. I'm sorry I assumed."
She hugs me, tells me to get dressed, and leaves the room to go downstairs and make breakfast.
I let out a sigh of relief as the door closes. That could have been disastrous.
"It's safe to come out now, Maya."
Maya slowly emerges from the closet, a look of fear in her eyes. "What do you think she'd do if she found out I'm staying here...?"
"Honestly? She'd probably go to the police."
The fearful look in her eyes worsens as the words leave my mouth. "N-No. I can't go back, not again. Every time I go back, they treat me worse. I-I can't take it anymore."
"You're not going to go back --"
"I'd kill myself before I let them throw me back into that Hell House."
