Leaf is my cat name, in case you were wondering about that. I'm a therian, and my theriotype is feline. She's a domestic cat with solid black fur and green eyes.

This can't be happening. I have to be having a nightmare, everything was going so well. How could it come crashing down so quickly?

The only good thing to come out of this is the fact that my parents are allowing Maya to stay. They understand that her home life isn't exactly great, and feel sorry for her. But they feel sorry for me too. And keep telling me it's a phase. And that what I have with Maya isn't "real love."

But, while I'm only fourteen, I know that what I feel for Maya is love. Whether my parents like it or not.

"Hey, Riles?" I look up, revealing a distressed Maya. I don't even need to say anything for her to continue. "What do you think is going to happen to us?"

She looks genuinely afraid, her blue eyes missing that usual sparkle. I sigh, pushing aside my laptop and patting the spot on the bed next to me. Maya sits down, automatically grabbing my hand.

"I don't know what's going to happen to us. Honestly, I wish I did, but I don't. I don't think my parents even know what they're going to do at this point." My free hand rests on her cheek, and she smiles. "Whatever happens, I'll still love you, Maya."

With a small laugh, she kisses me, squeezing my hand tightly. "I'll still love you, too, Riley."
