Chapter: Prince
Snake looked back at me with more innocent eyes, "Prince, what does this mean?"
There is only one person that would talk like that, and I now gained a one track mind. I had to tell my father something would befall onto the realm of Shadows, something we are not ready for. I took in a breath and immediately stood. "We have to go now, William you're coming with us. I must speak with the Commander immediately." I began to walk out before turning rather harshly to the recruit, I know because they jumped, "You are dismissed, when we return to camp ready yourselves for the vow tonight." They all nodded while Snake stood and returned to my side.
William was left holding his head, he is probably dizzy now after that kind of experience. His young daughter had pleading eyes near him, wanting to speak but all she could mutter was, "Papa?"
"Let's go!" I shouted at my men with a voice that boomed, everyone went into action and were ready in a flash. "William I want you behind me, got it?" I know I was being more demanding, but this was far more serious.
Chapter: William
"Gah, my head hurts like I was hit in the head by a buck." finally gaining consciousness back. I look down over at Liz and she is frightened.
"Papa?" she looks up at me.
Whatever happened while I was out must have been terrifying to scare her. Prince and the one next to him exchanged words. Then he yelled dismissing the other Shadows who were at attention but were definitely concerned at this point. As they were leaving I fixed the fire pit and everything else back to its normal state. I felt the slight headache of Magika withdrawal but it was nothing I couldn't handle.
"William I want you behind me, got it?" he demanded of me.
Holding my temple with my left hand, and I pick up Liz on my back "You got it." I grunt.
He nodded and with other on his heel jumped into the trees. I followed suit and followed their footsteps exactly. It was a little tricky at first but I got the hang of it quickly. As we are traveling through the forest I notice the one that is always next to Prince is constantly looking back at me. I think I'm just going to call him Snake for now considering his animal spirit is one. Why he doesn't trust me I don't know but it definitely concerns me.
Liz's breathing has gone back down to normal and she seems to be having fun flying through the trees but I can tell that she is still concerned about what happened before. I don't want to ask her because I'm sure it's something she doesn't want to remember. Prince hasn't said anything either but I can tell that he wants to get to this 'Commander' as soon as possible. I guess I'll find out in due time. In the mean time I got a better look of my surroundings and I saw the Path that they refer to here.
Their customs here are strange but they are very honorable. The Ritual here is a very special occasion for Shadows it is essentially the gateway to manhood. It is something that you take pride in and not lightly either. What seemed to be an eternity with my aching head we arrived at a small house with a Deer pelt door and comfortable aurora coming from within. I didn't see much else from that point because right after I set Liz down I collapsed and blacked out from exhaustion. "Odd I wasn't this tired earlier...... what the...... hell happened....... to..... me...."
Chapter: Liz
My papa is a strong person and doesn't give in easily. Which I believe is the only reason why he made it to this house. His breathing was haggard the entire trip to the house and with what had happened earlier it was very taxing on my papa.
"Sir help!" I scream after the man named Prince.
He turns around and sees my papa on the ground "What the hell he looked fine a second ago. Snake go over and get him over here. Get some fresh water inside and put a rag on his head."
"Excuse me sir, but what exactly is coming?" I ask afraid of the answer.
"Kid, I don't even know what to make of it." he answers gruffly "And it's Prince little girl remember that."
"And my name's Liz you remember that." I respond puffing my cheeks.
Why does he have to have a scary face all the time I'm sure he would find a pretty girl if he would lose that scary face.
