Chapter: William
I woke up around eight this morning and I felt the presence of the Dragon once more, and I didn't like it at all. I went into the bathroom and started the shower and it. felt. amazing. The performance went very well last night from what I can remember but passing out was not my plan. My control here is more enforceable, but it's hard to measure it out to where it wont hurt me. That will come with time though and I hope it comes sooner than later.
After getting changed back into the clothes that I wear back in my world, I walk down into the living room and find Liz sleeping on the couch holding a stuffed teddy bear. I smile and pick her up and put her on her bed inside her room. I close the door quietly and make my way into the kitchen. There was no fridge but a technical stove that I could cook upon. I made the ingredients from my surroundings and then felt the actual flow of the magik from me. This is good practice for me and it's perfect thing to try it on. I began to start cooking lunch. I know it is early in the day but I'll cook a meal that takes time to prepare.
When I start cooking I just let it flow through; the love for cooking. It was the thing that I truly enjoyed besides fixing up the bikes back home. As I cook I didn't realize that Prince had come in and went to my room to find it empty. He then walked into the kitchen in a hurry seemingly concerned and then see's me cooking away. Both he and the Gray Fox stood there looking at me curiously while I cooked. The aroma was very pleasing and I stepped away and turned around I took a step back in surprise.
"When the hell did you enter?" I ask with a grunt.
"Just a few minutes ago and why are you out of bed? Shouldn't you be resting?" Fox said casually.
"I gotta eat now don't I?" I say as I turn around to stir my stew, "There's plenty for us here if you'd like to join me and Liz for lunch."
"Don't think you're off the hook." Prince said gruffly, "Why did you perform that dance if you knew you were tired and exhausted? Why are you pushing yourself?"
I stopped stirring for a moment then resumed, "I performed it because I needed to establish that I am a person of respect and not a person of destruction. Also to say the least it was to wash away the fear. To put everyone in a state of calm after everything that has happened."
"Even so to that extent? Using that much power?" Prince pushed further.
"I also needed to find my limit Prince." He looked confused, "My power flows differently here and I need to find my extremes and my efficiency. Otherwise I could delve into my actual existence and kill myself. That is why I go to that extent, that is why I use that much Prince."
There was an awkward silence in the room and then I asked if Fox could wake up Liz so we could eat. When she came in she was rubbing her eyes from lack of sleep and holding the bear in the other hand. When we all sit down both me and Liz say our traditional phrase and begin our meal. Both Prince and Gray had a look of confusion on their face but they dig into their meal regardless. The food was spectacular and it took Gray Fox by surprise. She hasn't had any of my cooking so it would make sense. She took her leave and that left me, Liz and Prince alone in my house.
"So why did you have to make this big of a house for only two people?" He asked gruffly as I was washing the dishes.
"Because this is the exact look of my house back home." I replied bluntly.
"This is your house back home?!" He said in surprised, "Still why this big for only two people?"
"Well that house was the first one I went to after my friends were killed." I remember the memory and shiver, "It was originally my caretaker's house, Roxin. It became my home and then soon after that both Leon and Brittany along with Michelle and Liz started living in that house and so it got quite full."
"I see well I guess it would make sense then. Do most people in your world live in houses this big normally?" He asks.
"Not really it all depends on how financially stable you are." I explain.
"What do you mean?" Prince rising an eyebrow.
"Well if you don't have money or currency you essentially don't have a place to live or anything to eat." I say, "It's a tough lifestyle but there are generally places they can go to stay and get food and clothing. It's just how our world works. It's not perfect but like anything that Roxin taught me is that nothing is perfect. If one person thinks it is then another will be against him."
"You have a very wise mentor, I would like to meet him." He said.
"Well he's dead..." A silence appeared, "He died defending the others while I was in the Demon's Rage."
"Demon's Rage?" He inquires.
"It's when I start to lose control of my emotions. It's a risk all Fallen Angel's have believe it or not. Our Magika flows uncontrollably, and we lose our appearance." I explain further, "We also can't distinguish between friend or foe..... it's a insatiable blood thirst. I was still weak at the time but I was strong enough to kill him. I hadn't realized what I had done until it was too late to save his life. No magik could save him and it was my fault for not controlling my emotions. Yet he still died with a smile and finishing his sentence with 'boy' like he always did. I respected the man till the day he died and nothing will ever change that."
At that moment Prince seemed like he was going to say something but it was then a shout was heard from the outside. "Dragon is here!" We heard and walked outside to see the commotion.
