Chapter: Liz

I could tell that the man named Snake didn't like the presence of my father. I don't know why but he is only doing what he is told and only halfheartedly. I sensed the presence of a newcomer but he had the same feeling as the man named Prince. The one called Bear was at the foot of the bed and didn't seem particularly comfortable here either. If everyone is so tense it will take longer for papa to recover. Tension interferes with aura flows and it takes more time for Magik and energy to flow to him.
"Not much I can do except wait for papa to talk again." I think to myself. Prince walks in and dismisses the man Bear and the man named Snake sighs, and sits down on his own bed across the room. His boots make a dull thud as the cross the floor towards my papa's bedside and he rummages around on the shelf above his bed. I look up very curious at what he's looking at.
He grabbed a 'Ball Catcher' what they are called at our world and asked "Hey kid. Ever tried one of these? You just try to get the ball into the hoop by swinging it." and handed it to me. I've seen them multiple times before but never really used one before. It didn't look complicated to use but I never know. I took it from his hand and examined it closer and started swinging the ball. I make an up an down motion and watch the ball bounce off the rim on my first try. I try again several more times and fail......... stupid thing work!
"See it's not so easy now is it?" he said letting out a small laugh.
"Maybe so but you know I'm not like my papa." I say still trying figure out the toy
"What do you mean?" he asks with a confused look
"I'm not a Fallen Angel like him, I'm not even his blood daughter." the look on their faces was complete shock "I'm actually a Salamander but the god Yurajeel imbued an Angels blood in me. I was an experiment to see if Salamander can be like a human. I didn't even know I was a Salamander until my papa saved me. He protected me, took care of me and I started to call him papa. He's not even married, or engaged to anyone, he's taken care of me as best as he could. So seeing him like this really is painful for me because I can't do anything."
I set down the toy that Prince had given me and held my arms together and felt tears come to my eyes. He was always looking after me and made sure I was happy and I haven't been able to do anything. Even now I'm powerless. My power only comes in times of severe distress or moments of intense anger. Even then there is no gurantee of my power. To become a Fallen Angel I would need a portion of human blood, 1/3 of their blood which would kill a person. I don't wont that to happen to anyone for my sake to be a full human. The reason I keep a human appearance is because the permanent effect of being raised in a human world.
Thinking about it makes me sad and I start to feel the effects of being away from everyone else back home. It was then that Prince held a small Teddy bear in front of me.
"I don't like it when little kids cry. Here take this it's better than holding nothing." he said with a kind face
"Thank you." sniffing and wiping the tears from my
"Keep your chin up alright. You may not be blood related but I know for a fact you have the same determination like he does. Besides that I doubt your father will be down for long he's only resting." he says rubbing me head
The other man looked over and let out a small smile. It made me happy that these people were on papa's side. They helped us even after attacking us with the intent to kill. I don't know who this Messenger is but I hope she has a good enough reason for sending us here and making papa this exhausted. My only real concern at this point is how we are going to get home but I guess since I'm here I'll try and learn about it.
"So Sir" I say rubbing my eyes "What's this Ritual that's happening tonight and what are you exactly playing?"

Chapter: Prince

"Someone was ease dropping."  I gave her a smirk while resting back on the shelf behind me. "Well Ritual night is a pretty special time for the Shadows.  All of my people gather and enjoy their time around a bonfire at night.  We dance, challenge each other, and give thanks for still being alive.  Still having water and food to give us energy to live.  The four Maidens we vow to protect are there to sing, to bring our souls and wills alive for the battles to come."
I smiled beside myself, I did not want to go to deep into all of it but it was true this was a special night.  I rubbed her head again but more gently before rubbing the rest of her tears away.  "I am a tribute to the Wind Maiden.  I play the violin for her when she dances as a way to thank and represent her. It's my duty at ritual night."  As I finished my eyes were on the violin resting by bed next to some candles.  I gestured to look with a nod so Liz could see it as well.  It had excellent crafting and a simple design craved into it made to look like wind. "Would you like to hear anything?"
