Chapter William:
I found it kind of amusing that the other Shadows actually got moving without even really giving another thought at the fact their Commander was encased in ice. I look over at my handiwork and think to myself, "Well he did bring it upon himself in the first place. What he said was just about as bad as Golden Eagle over there." Then there was Ash the Fire Maiden, I really hope she doesn't have the idea in her head like I think she does. Otherwise it will definitely get awkward later on. Not just for her but for me, just thinking of her Battle-staff freaks me out.
There was a muffled scream coming from inside the ice and I chuckle and walk away. The ice finally melted off of him when we were just finishing up cleaning the area. Griffon was furious but he calmed down enough to get things rolling again. I had also made myself a new shirt a black one like the one from home. It felt refreshing to say the least.
"William, I want you to get some rest." Prince said as he climbed back up on the carriage with Liz at his side.
"Why's that?" I ask curiously, "I'm perfectly fine, that boulder wasn't that big of a problem for me."
"Not from my angle it wasn't." He said with his usual glare, "You've been pushing yourself ever since you came here. Just get some rest, alright? No 'buts' about it."
"Alright fine I'll humor you Prince." I say with a sigh, "But where am I exactly supposed to do that? I can't just sleep in the carriage."
"I don't see why not." The voice belonging to Ash the Fire Maiden.
"Are you daft?! He can't ride in here! The little girl was fine but not him, it's not supposed to be allowed for Shadows to ride in the carriage!" That voice obviously belonging to Leafy.
"She is right, Fire Maiden." Prince said with a smirk.
"But he isn't a Shadow now is he?" Ash said mockingly.
"That is true." River said suddenly which was surprising.
The argument went on for a few minutes until Griffon walked over to hear the commotion. In the end I ended up riding the carriage but on the floorboards instead of sitting on the seats. It was the most uncomfortable, awkward and definitely restless ride I have ever experienced.
Chapter: Leafy
I was not thrilled about having this... man, I guess you can call him, riding in the carriage. Shadows were not permitted and the wolf Shadow had with audacity to let an outsider within it? Who does he think he is!? My father should have had a few words with him but no he instead agreed with a pleased smile. This is all probably because he saved us twice. It does not mean he is royalty.
He was on the floor just looking down at nothing probably passing the time with his thoughts. I wonder what someone like him thinks about.... he looked rather sad. Well anyway, River and Ash were sitting on the seats of either side of him. I was sitting in the far chair beside River while the two girls talked small.
"What do you think, Leafy?" River's childlike voice caught my attention through my dulled lethargic moment.
I perked up, meeting eyes with her happy face, "Hm?"
"Don't they look the same?" She answered.
"Like brothers almost." Ash added.
"Who?" I was confused, which irritates me.
"Leafy, were you lost in your gazing?" Ash gave me that look, the one that meant to back off. I guess someone is finally coming around to looking at men, she never seems interested. However when she is it usually causes hell fire.
