"Why did you send me here? To be a god or demon? To watch and do nothing........ Tell me why Damn it!" I yell my impatience getting the better of me "I had just got into a comfortable life at home with everyone and you took it all away."
"I am sorry but the others couldn't be brought and your power is needed Fallen Angel." she says "A fraction of me has been taken, Empathy, and more specifically there is a rift between your worlds."
"A rift?" I ponder "What do you mean like a gateway?"
"Precisely." she says her picture growing fuzzy "I cannot be much longer so I'll be frank. You will find new enemies and allies and find old ones as well. Be strong, I will return you home but this world needs help."
"You are lucky that I care what happens and have seen what has happened." I say rubbing my forehead
"Why is that?" she says growing more faint.
"Because I do not take kindly to being thrown around as someone's tool. Yurajeel knows that first hand, Luna." I say with a deep dragon growl and then the dream ends.
I wake up and the Shadows are waking and assembling supplies. It will be time to go soon; thank goodness the aurora here is not like it used to be. I jump down from the tree and examine some of the other Shadows wounds, including Golden Eagles leg... unfortunately.
"How's your leg doing?" I ask cautiously.
"It's doing fine thank you what was that herbal concoction you gave to us?" he asks
"It was a medicinal tea that my mentor Roxin taught me. The herbs are imbued with Magik that make the healing process quicker. It's also why at times I soak the bandages in herbal water to so it can take a direct start to heal." I explain
"How very interesting can it heal a heart?" he ask with a certain look in his
"I'm electing to ignore that question." I state bluntly and take my leave
There is carriage being drawn up with Prince at the reins and he beckons me over.
"Thank you for yesterday." he said half mumbling
"No problem because I know you would do the same for me. Where's Liz?" I ask looking around not seeing her anywhere.
"Oh she's inside the carriage sleeping away. I think the Maidens will enjoy her company, she's more of a people person than you are." he said with a chuckle
"Coming from you that is possibly the worst play on words that I have ever heard." I said in a blunt manor.
That got both of us laughing. It was good having him back in high spirits but I'm sure it was mainly because he had to keep the others in high spirits as well. He went into his house one more time to collect his weaponry and some of Snake's belongings. He walked back over to the carriage with me waiting at the bench seat. The Maidens walked over and I bowed as I opened the door as they made their way into the carriage. With a glance I saw the Water Maiden look at Liz and smile at her and rested Liz's head onto her lap. The Fire Maiden had a look of amusement, and the Forest Maiden had a tired face.
Not everyone is a morning person, I certainly wasn't that's for sure. I close the door and latch it. I climb up next to Prince and Griffon leads the group of assorted Shadows to their home in the Forest Realm. Then we were off into the forest along the Path to god knows where.
. . .
"Alright everyone this'll be a good place as any to stop for lunch!" Griffon yelled at the front.
I leap down from the carriage while it was still moving and got a good stretch in jogging next to the carriage. We come to a stop at a mountain side with a small pond. The carriage came to stop and I was right by the door. I opened the door and Liz was the first one out to stretch her legs. I smiled at her and the Maidens followed suit; the Forest Maiden came out without assistance, the Fire Maiden did the same, and the Water Maiden gracefully took my hand as she descended from the carriage. As they walked away towards the pond area, I produce a clean bench made of fine oak and food made before their very eyes. They look over at me and I gave them a little wink while me and Liz on my shoulders walked to where Prince was eating alone with some cheese, bread, and some water.
"Here have some meat with that." I say having conjured meat from the ground
"How do you produce meat exactly?" he asked kind of unnerved
"It's not that bad trust me there are wildlife close to death and I preserve them. It was an instinct that developed since I've come here." I said with a small chuckle
"I see well then thank you for the food." he acknowledges with a nod
While we were sitting there eating the Maidens went and sat in the grass closer to the mountainside. I look over and see the other Shadows eating and enjoying the break for the day and it was refreshing sight to see.
"Hey I have question." I say while Liz was munching on some crackers
"What is it?" he says with a sigh
"What do you all know about Luna?" I ask bluntly and chokes on his water
"Where did that come from?" he asks wiping the water off his chin
"I had a dream last night and woman appeared with golden cat like eyes and she said she was Luna." I said biting into my burger, yes I made a burger shoot me.
"Well that is strange what did she s....." he was cut off as I launched off to where the Maidens were
The little pebble had just hit me and I saw the huge boulder fall over the mountain ledge. It was falling to fast to stop it with the wind and I couldn't destroy it without it connected to the earth. I ran as fast I could over to the Maidens. They saw me running and looked confused and the other Shadows were shocked as well and then they saw it; the boulder. I came to a halt right in the middle of them. I yell "Stay down!!" and without time to summon my cloak I caught the boulder. My knees bending under me, my shirt destroyed by the force of the blow. Grunting I saw the Maidens under me incomplete shock. I slowly began to rise back up and with a Dragons Roar I throw the boulder into the air. I jump up after it punch it in its weakest point and it shatters. I use the wind to push the debris into the lake. I then push myself over to the side and land gracefully. Prince was running over with Liz in tow the other Shadows were running as well all the while the Maidens with a look of awe on their face. I went to the ground on one knee. "Man that was more taxing than I thought it would be. What kind of boulder was that, Solid Granite?!"
