Chapter: Rebellion Leader

Dinner was given well served and performance had started.  The Maidens sang all the Shadow's hearts full, bringing the night and fire alive with their magic.  I shifted through the crowd, glancing back at each turn to see different views from the same act.  Where are you hiding your homestead, Black Wolf?  Everyone was too engulfed, they did not notice me slip past into the darkness beyond the fire's reach.

That did not take long to fine however I did not linger for long.  There was quite a presence in this place, one beyond that of a Shadow's.  Whatever it is failed to detect me, it must have been distracted.  I quickly made way back before anyone began to question my disappearance.  As I did I glanced up to the Maidens again and met eyes with one of my spies.

He looked unsure as to why I held his glaze for a moment that much is understanding.  He may be part of my movement but hardly any know who the true leader is.  Poor bastard, probably doesn't even know what is coming next.  He will learn now though.

Making way to my seat the friends around me cheered my return with glee.  "You're just in time, Prince is about to perform."  Curse that blood blessed heretic, and his father.  Both are so close to the ways, to the vow.  They will hinder my path I know this, Black Wolf already has that is why I am here.  To rid myself of them.

I took a moment longer, watching to the moment Prince leap from the darkness and into the light of the fire with his violin played loud and strong.  He jumped through the flames of the fire, Shadows dancing around him with the Wind Maiden smiling at his side. His brother was clapping, his father was cheering.  What mockery this was to me.  Why they think this night should be giving so much praise, after all we do?  How many of us will be left for dead?  How long will they deny living in fear?  I wanted to show them life and they gave me death.  Now it's my turn.

I've had enough of this.

My fist clenched on my lap, the cheering and joy around me dulled.  I felt my eyes tire and my head pained a little as the signal was given.  Everyone in my cult heard it, it sent chills down some of their spines.  Within seconds they reacted, attacked, and all hell broke loose.

It was mayhem, Shadows turned against Shadows in confusion because we all looked alike.  They won't know who is who.  Prince ceased his playing, his Father stood abruptly.  When everyone averted their gaze and there were no eyes on Black Wolf I stepped in.  My cult was widely spread so the attack was held all around them.  No one saw when I came up behind him, they had all run into action.

Before he could turn my blade was in his chest. A wide five inches wide great sword running through his vitals.  It was great to feel his warm blood coat my fingers.  I smiled snarling teeth at him, threw him to the ground when I forcefully took out my blade.  He tried to push himself up, blood running from his mouth.  I tore into him and he dropped dead without so much as a scream.

Everyone around the ritual sight roared with anger while others screamed to protect the Maidens.  No one was backing down in the heat of the moment but with all the confusion pure Shadows began to turn on each other.

White Stallion reacted quickly, he grabbed his Maiden and ordered his Shadows out of the area before it got too bloody.  Cowardice, but he saved their purpose in life and protected his Shadows.  I gave another order for those of my cult running after him, told them to go to homestead.  Only a handful disappeared into the forest, just in time too.  That presence I felt earlier was coming, and he was close.  So I left.  Prince was still alive, he was holding well but I have an advantage against him.

I hope he dies in pain and regret.

Before I disappeared I saw him, an outsider with power unmatched in the battle field.  Dark cloaked and horror all over.  It is interesting what Luna can reel in sometimes.

The fight wasn't over when I left however some of my members were no long present, they left with a couple of the Commanders or ran when I left the field.  Still I have a number there, oh well they are no used to me now.
