Shafna woke up early in the morning. Actually she didn't wake up since she didn't sleep the whole night. She got ready and looked into the mirror.
She looked beautiful since Hudson told her to come so. Although she looked good, her eyes were dead without happiness.
She came out of the home and saw Hudson waiting for her in his bike. He was wearing the shirt she presented him for his birthday.
She tried to bring a smile when she met him. She got into the back putting her legs on either side of the bike. She sat closer to him because she knew that it was going to be the last ride with him.
Shafna inhaled his fragrance and stored it in her memory. Since its early morning, there was no one in the road.
They flew past the East Coast Road which had a beautiful view of blue sea on one side and few houses here and there on the other side of the road.
She hugged him from back and placed her face on his shoulders. They reached a beach on the way. Early morning sun's rays were sparkling on the waves.
They tugged their hands together and walked on the sea shore. They took photos of their memories in her mobile.
Shafna and Hudson imprinted their foot prints on the sand. Shafna's footprints were at the centre with his footprints on either side of hers. They captured that too.
They sat on the shore and was chatting by intertwining their fingers and she was lying on his shoulders. She wanted to be like that throughout her life.
Then they had breakfast in a roadside hotel. They fed each other. Then they went to a roadside park with a good view of the blue sea touching the blue sky.
The cool wind was fondling her hair. They sat on the steps facing the sea. The park was deserted leaving them alone.
Hudson sat on the first step and Shafna was sitting on the next leaning her head on his chest. He wrapped his arms tightly around her neck and placed his chin on her head.
" I'm worried dear. Time is flying. An hour with you passed like a minute Hudson. My heart is so heavy. I couldn't bear the pain. "
Tears rolled down her cheeks. Hudson turned her face towards him and erased the tears by rubbing his fingers over her cheeks.
He kissed her forehead and hugged her face to his chest.
Shafna remembered the last time they came to that park. After watching the film vinnaithandi varuvaya, they came to that park, sat at the same place and was talking.
" Why are you silent Hudson? "
" I'm thinking about the film climax. "
Actually for those who didn't watch that film, it has two climaxes. One is the heroine leave the hero and marries another guy. Other climax is the heroine waits for the hero and marries him.
" What's about that dear?" Shafna asked him.
" I'm worrying about our love story's climax. " Hudson sighed.
" I'm not worried because I know the climax. " Shafna looked confident.
" You know? "
" Yes my dear. Its same like the second climax. I'll wait for you whatever happens. And I promise you Hudson. "
She said looking intensely into his eyes.
Hudson hugged her and said, " I love you so much Shafna. " He planted a light kiss on her lips.
Shafna remembered the promise she made him. She never wanted it to be a fake promise because her love is not fake.
Hudson kissed over the tears falling down from her eyes. She recognized her crying only after his kiss. She hugged his waist and buried her face on his chest. He rubbed her back to make her calm.
After spending some time there, they went to theatre. They planned to watch a film in other language. Because they were not there to watch a film, just to be together.
They had lunch there and were roaming around the mall. He selected a silver ring imprinted the work 'Love' in it. He put the ring on her finger. She loved the ring.
Then they went to the film. Throughout the film, Shafna was tugging his hand and laid her head on his shoulders.
Shafna was looking her watch often. Her time to be with him was draining fast. Only few more hours. The next day at this time, she would be leaving Chennai.
She remembered the first time he holded her hand in the theatre. The first kiss also happened in the theatre.
She kissed his cheeks. He turned to see her fearful eyes and leaned closer and kissed her lips. Shafna felt the same jerk when he kissed the first time.
That was a kiss of love. It was totally different now. This was a kiss of pain.
A kiss which showed how much they were going to miss each other.Lot of reasons to tell that you are mine
Lot of seasons to make me remind of you
Lot of tears to say that I'm only yours
Lot of laughs to prove that I belong to you
Lot of hugs to understand your feel in love
Lots and lots and more and more to say you are only mine
Shafna realized how much she loved Hudson only when the time came to leave him forever.
After the film, they went to the beach where they used to spend most of the time. They sat on the bench and was facing the sea.
The sun already left , leaving its place to the moon. Few stars were shining its beauty. But Hudson and Shafna was not in a mood to realize the nature's beauty.
They sat in silence interlinking their fingers. They didn't know what to talk since they had so much to say. But if not today, they didn't know whether they can say this again or not.
They saw an old couple sitting opposite to them. They were holding hands and talking to each other like a young couple in love.
That old man was moving away the white strand of hair fell down in that old lady's face. They looked so lovely. Shafna always wished to be like this with Hudson in their old age.
Since it was becoming late, they left from that place. The day was over. In a few minutes, Shafna would reach home. She never wanted the day to get over.
She didn't want to leave Hudson. She begged God to give Hudson to herself. She didn't want this to be their last day together.
