PG [Angst, Fluff]

In which Taemin is the biggest jerk on campus.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Computers is practically Aimee's whole world. It's her field of expertise, the only area where she feels somewhat smart. All of her classes are related to computers, except for the few that they forced her to take. Except those ones don't really matter to her, anyway, because to her they're all review and she breezes through them with effortless straight A's. Except for PE, because the only sport she's good at is swimming, and they don't teach swimming at this school. So Aimee spends the entire PE class getting laughed at for being an unfit weakling and generally trying not to embarrass herself (though she embarrasses herself with practically every word that she speaks).

Aimee sits down with her lunch tray at the table in the corner where she sits (usually alone) every lunch period. She doesn't really have any friends, except for maybe Jinki, but he hangs out with other people. It doesn't really disturb Aimee. She's gotten used to it, and the loneliness gives her plenty of time to stare at the new boy, Key, and work on her homework. She's been spending more time staring at Key than doing her homework recently, but just looking at him makes up for it. He's gorgeous, with blonde hair that falls down over his eyes, perfect cheekbones, and feline features.

Aimee pushes her lunch away because she never eats it, and pulls out her physics homework. It's her favorite of the classes that have been pretty much forced upon her (or because she doesn't want to spend a period cutting open dead frogs in biology).

"Well, well, look at who we have here," a voice says. Aimee pauses in the middle of writing in the first answer and looks up. Butterflies, and not the good kind, erupt in her stomach.

It's Taemin, the most popular boy in the school and her head tormentor, along with being the schools #1 "bad boy". Aimee just wants to hide under the table and die.

"Shouldn't you be in an orphanage?" Taemin smirks, referring to the fact that Aimee lives with her older brother, Donghae.

"Shouldn't I ask you the same?" Aimee replies coolly. Taemin is also an orphan, who lives with his aunt, Taeyeon.

Taemin glares at Aimee for a moment, before noticing something far more interesting. He snatches the carton of banana milk (the only thing that Aimee will consume) off of her abandoned lunch tray and smirks.

"Thanks."

. . .

Aimee takes her laptop out of her bag and places it on her desk, in the far left corner of the classroom. She makes music on it, electronia music, and puts it on YouTube. She sells it on Amazon, iTunes, and Bandcamp, which is how she makes money to help pay off some of the rent. The trigonometry teacher doesn't care; he sleeps or watches porn on his computer the entire period, leaving the students to do whatever they want.

Aimee slips on her headphones and works on the overlapping of the different instrument sounds in her song.

"Oh, hi," a voice says, snapping her out of her work stupor. Key smiles down at her. "Do you mind?" He sits down on the seat next to her.

"Um, sure, I mean, no, go ahead," Aimee stutters, mentally slapping herself.

Key smiles. "Thanks." Aimee can feel eyes on her, glaring daggers at her. It was to be expected. Key was cute, and it was no surprise that many girls liked him.

"What are you doing?" Key inquires, looking at her computer.

"Um....I make music. Like, electronica, I guess. I post my music on YouTube," Aimee says, her voice sounding so awkward that she cringes internally.
