Lola's PoV:

I lay on my bed frustrated at his words, is he just one of those guys who I'm a girl too. I take down criminals for a living there he is some computer geek probably adding software or getting rise of virus, while I put my life on the line bring justice to the city.

I get back up heading to my dressing room applying a light coat of eye liner then adding my mascara. Grabbing my redy pinky  colour putting a bit on my lips before puckering  then together. I rub my hands down my dark purple dress which was casually enough to wear to dinner with a thin belt and a black cardigan on top.

I walk out my bedroom into the living room going to sit at the kitchens island instead of the couch where he sat. I was no mans babe especially not a guy who I met yesterday what type of girl does he think I am.

'Lola you ok you spend the whole day in your bedroom?' He keeps his eyes firmly on the tv but was sat in gym clothes showing he has been out to the gym at least today.

'Yeah I'm good.' My eyes go from him back to my phone scrolling across my Facebook. 'Oh and I've invited some friends round for dinner.'

'Can I ask who?'

'One of my best friend and my sister.'    He peels his eyes away from the tv to give me a look before returning to the film  he was watching.

'What time are they coming?' I look to the clock.

'Any second now. I put a chicken on for dinner earlier so it's all good.'

'Can't wait to meet them.'

'Do you have any friends?'

'Like one but he's traveling.' How could a guy like him have no friends like, he seems like a lad so why would he have one good friend.

The door starts to knock and I open the door seeing my sister at the door, she's two years older than me but surprisingly less responsible than me. She pulls me in for a hug but I get a hand full of her long blond curly end hair.

'Hey Lucy.'

'Hi Lola, how are you settling in?' She takes a quick look around the apartment I expect her to say something about Matt but when I look he's not in sight.

'I'm good yeah the place is nice.'

'Oh that's good.' She walks out onto our mini balcony looking out at the view of the city.

' So how have you been? haven't seen you in a month at least.'

'Yeah well I got back from Rome yesterday but you know that, it's  so nice there like I would recommend it, maybe when you get a holiday break I can take you?'

'Yeah that sound good, could use a break with all the pressure of work.' She nods her head in agree and walks to the couch I follow her.

'Have you spoke to mum?' I shake my head

'I haven't seen her in a while either.'

'She's not answering my calls, she's completely shutting me off now.'

'What about Luke?'  His name stricks a anger deep inside of me, it's his fault for everything.

'I haven't visited him in years unless I walk past his cell.'  He was the one who wrecked my family.

'Aren't you being a bit hard on him, he's still family.'

'You wasn't there, you didn't see what he did.'

'Lola who is this?' Our heads turn to great my roommate who seemed to get himself changed, he was wearing blue jeans with a white shirt on top and a suit jacket.

'This is my sister Lucy, Lucy this is Matt my roommate.' She pushes herself off the chair and he walks over to give her a hug.

'Hi Matt nice to meet you.'

'Likewise. I'm going to get some wine, ladies.'

'Wait Matt just a beer for me please.' I shout before he leaves the room.

'Well he is very sexy.' I roll my eyes at her remark. 'What he is?'

'He's also roommate only, I'm not messing that up.'

'Yup sure.' She gives me her devil smile before he walks back into the room.

I hear the new sound of the door bell being rung and run to the door, opening it up as fast as I can.

'Hi Dannie,' I'm almost memorised by him

'Hey Lola.' I open the door wider to let him in. My best friend, my crush , one of my partners at work.

His blond hair was on point   and  his green eyes great me.

'Matt this is Daniel my best friend, Danny this is my roommate Matt
