Lola PoV :
I wake up looking straight at him. The small smile fades from my face knowing that we are not sleeping together because we are a couple but because I felt bad him sleeping on the couch. He looked so calm the calmest I've seen him in ages. In this light you couldn't see the black bags under his eyes or that sad face he's been carrying around these last few weeks.
I grab my clothes and change in the bathroom before walking into the kitchen I slide my hands across the marble counter trying to stretch myself out. The cold of the marble hits my skin making me throw my hands back.'Morning sunshine,' I don't even look and pull my cereal bar out of one of our wooden cupboards.
'Hey Matt,' I take a big bite out my bar before turning to see him. I can't lie he looked good, his scruffy hair falling over into his face and the plain brown top he had on with his joggers, it was such a lazy look such a breathtaking lazy look. 'Make me a hot chocolate,'
'Why would I do that? Your the woman.' I knew he was joking but still a part of me tenses inside.
'I now expect marshmallows and whipped cream.' I sit on our island chairs twirling myself around on the stall. He lets out a small huff before filling the kettle up and pulling two cups from the cupboard.
'Thank you.' It comes out as a small squeak and I sit on my hands trying to get the feeling back into them.
'Where's Prince Charming?' I let out a small huff knowing that they hated each other.
'Sleeping.'
'I still don't understand why he's staying here,' I must if explained it at least a hundred times.
'Because he has no where else to go plus he's my best friend.'
'Yeah sure.'
'Be nice please?' I give him my best puppy dog eyes and he just rolls his eyes at me thought his smile was coming through.
'Hmmm.'
'Pretty please with cherries on top?' He lets out a sigh and that's when I know he's ok with it.
'Ok.' He places my hot chocolate in front of me and I Gulp it down feeling the warm feeling flow down my throat filling me up with heat. It was just as good as usual.
'What plans do you have for today?'
'I'm going out with Lily,' I needed her to talk to lately and over text is never enough with what I've got to say
'Who is lily?'
'My other best friend she's just come back from her travels, so she's decided to see new.' He lets off an approving nod before sipping his drink then learning his elbows on the counter.
'Morning guys,' I turn around tucking a lose hair behind my ear.
'Danny!' I frown a bit knowing my voice came up way to excited. Matt gives me a disapproving look but I brush it off.
'Show me how your back looks today?' I lift up the top of my back showing the bruise going up my spin. I let out a little moan as he pushes my back in many different places. The pain was so bad but not the worst I had have.
'It's gonna stay swollen and bruised for a few days but doesn't look like there is any broken bones. I nod in approval before pulling my top back down.
'What did you do to your back?' Matt gives me a curious look and it leads me back to the Bruise on his arm
'I fell down the stairs at work.' The door bell rang and I ran to answer to lily I swag open the door wow she looked different. Her dark brown hair was long with its stretched out curled and her eyes as dark as chocolate. She looked good. I pull her into a hug feeling glad I can see her again after so long.
'Hey.' She said pulling out of my arms going back to give Danny a small hug.
'Hey lily.' He looks at her knowing I've probably told her everything that's been happening. 'How are you we haven't talked in ages?'
'I'm good been enjoying the world seeing new things, it is so beautiful out there.'
I drag lily into the kitchen where Matt was standing starring at us.
'This is Matt my roommate.' She gives me a look to say he's hot and I roll my eyes.
'Hi I'm lily I've heard so much about you.' She gives her sweet smile and he gives me a curious look.
'Anyway,' I say dragging lily back out the apartment ' we are going out, bye guys.'
We wait until we are in my car before talking again. 'Why didn't you tell me how fit Matt was?'
'It wasn't that important,' I feel her eyes piecing into me for information 'we are just friend.'
'Are you sure?'
'I told you he's dating my sister.'
