Savannah's P.O.V

My least favourite month. My least favourite day. And here I am, stuck in school with a bunch of dumbass teenage couple celebrating it as if they will all be married to each other in the future, when they won't even make it to the end of the summer.

Valentine's Day is all bullshit.

Like, why have a holiday dedicated to showing your love to your significant other. If you really loved them, you wouldn't need a special day to plan a surprise date or some shit.

But then again, I am probably the only teenage girl who doesn't bitch and moan about not having a boyfriend on February fourteenth.

"Savannah! Savannah!" I could hear Quinn calling down the hallway behind me.

I turned around to see her running towards me with a huge smile on her face.

"He said it! Chase said it!" She shouted as she wrapped her arms around me in a hug.

"Said what?" I asked her.

"He told me that he loved me! Finally, right?" She said.

"Of course. How tacky of him." I said and she scoffed at me.

"You seriously need to get a boyfriend so you can see what love actually is. Haven't you ever been in love before?" She asked me.

"You can't have feelings that don't exist Quinn." I mumbled and started to walk away.

She didn't follow me, so I know I could be at peace for the rest of the day.

I can finally go home and ignore all the Valentines Day shit.

I won't have to stare at pictures for the formal tonight. I won't have to watch couples make out in the hallways.

I can just sit on my ass and watch Netflix while eating ice cream and pizza.

I got to my car and pulled away from the school as fast as I could, and started my short drive home. I turned the radio up, and popped in my favourite CD. Future Hearts by All Time Low.

I would have put on the regular radio but they are probably playing a bunch of sappy songs by Adele or something. I would rather my pop punk  music over that shit any day. Not that Adele isn't good, she's an amazing singer, but all she ever sings about is her relationships.

It's boring. And annoying for that matter.

I pulled up in my driveway after about ten minutes and saw that my mum was already home from work for the day. I wonder what she's gonna wanna do with me today. I can only imagine with her.

"Hello dear." Mum said when I walked into the kitchen.

"Hey mum." I said and walked into the living room with a bottle of water and my book bag. I pulled out my Maths textbook, and my French book so I could do my homework.

"Can that all wait honey? You're dad is gonna be home any minute and he wants to take us out for a Valentines Day dinner." Mum said. I rolled my eyes and opened my Maths book, ignoring her.

"Savannah, please." Mum said and I sighed.

"No mum. I just wanna sit at home tonight, okay? You and dad go out and have fun." I sighed and my mum looked at me sadly but nodded her head and walked out of the room, leaving me to do my work in peace.

My phone buzzed with text messages, and I ignored them all because I don't care what they want.

I finished up all of my work and started scrolling through my Facebook, and saw all the sappy and tacky posts.

They literally make me wanna barf everywhere.

I was about to pull up YouTube and start watching videos when I heard a knock at the door. I let out a loud sigh and rolled my eyes before standing up and going over to answer it.

And I instantly regretted it.

"What do you want Ashton?" I asked, and he looked up at me with bright red, blood shot, puffy eyes.

"Tara broke up with me." He said and I frowned, opening the door even more so he could walk in.

"On Valentines Day? That's awful." I said.

"I know. I would have went over to Luke's, but him and the other boys went to a party. I just wasn't feeling it. I feel like my heart shattered." Ashton said, his voice cracking at the end of the sentence.

"This is exactly why I don't believe in love."
