It was nearly two weeks since mine and Rosalie's date. We had spent nearly everyday with each other since then and today I was meeting the rest of her family properly. Since it was a Sunday Rosalie decided to pick me up from my house. It took me a while to pick out what to wear. I decided on a dress with a white lace torso and a blue green silk bottom that started at my hips. When I was dressed and I had done my make up I went downstairs to wait for Rosalie. Charlie was down there getting ready to pick up Bella soon.

"You look beautiful" Charlie said smiling at me like I was his own daughter.

"Thanks Charlie. I just wish mum could see me" I said sadly. Charlie walked over to me and put his arm around me.

"Its okay Em," Charlie comforted, "I know that she would be proud"

"If it was a boy I was meeting" I sighed. There was a honk from outside and I hugged Charlie goodbye.

"Give Bella my love and tell her that I will see her when I get home" I said. Charlie nodded and I went outside to where Rosalie's familiar BMW was parked. Grinning, I walked over to her car and got in. She placed her hand on mine and looked at me with her golden eyes.

"You look amazing, as always" Rose commented

"Thanks, I wanted to make a good impression"

"You would make a good impression even if you wore just a bag" Rose giggled. I laughed with her and we set off to her house. I have only ever been to her house to pick her up and drop her off. Even from the outside the house looked beautiful and gleamed, the windows reflected the light. When we pulled up outside the house I took a deep breath. Rose place a hand on my shoulder.

"They will love you, I promise" Rose said. I nodded and got out of the car with her. Just before we went inside Rose stopped me.

"I have to tell you something before we go in. It's something that you have to promise not to tell anyone or freak out when I tell you" Rose said slowly.

I frowned, "What could you tell me that would make me freak out?"

Rosalie took a deep breath and placed her hand on my waist. "Have you noticed that my family and I all have pale skin and golden eyes?"

"Yeah, it's weird because you're all adopted", I said frowning at the thought.

"We are vampires"

I laughed at her, "You're so funny. And even if it was true, vampires have red eyes and can't step foot into sunlight"

"You are thinking about the fictional ones. We have golden eyes because we drink animal blood, and we can go into sunlight however we shine in the sunlight", Rosalie pointed out.

"If you are a vampire then do someone to show me that you are". Rosalie disappeared from in front of me and I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around and there she was, stood behind me.

"Oh my god". I was speechless. Taking a step back, I gulped. I was scared. Scared that she would hurt me. Rosalie looked at me.

"Please, Emily. I won't hurt you" she said placing her hand onto my arm. Although I was scared, truthfully I was amazed by it and I was starting to be alright with it. When Rosalie gave me the look it was then that I knew I could trust her. Of course I could trust her; otherwise I wouldn't be alive now.

"Okay, let's go in" I said smiling at her and taking her hand.

Rosalie smiled and took my hand, leading me towards the house. It was incredibly open for a house of vampires. I don't know what I would have expected for a house of vampires. Coffins, a dark castle maybe a moat but instead it was this. The house was timeless, graceful, and probably a hundred years old. It was painted a soft, faded white, three stories tall, rectangular and well proportioned. The windows and doors were either part of the original structure or a perfect restoration. Rosalie's bright red BMW was the only car in sight, but of course it would be. No one else would be along here, unless it was one of her family. I could hear the river close by, hidden in the obscurity of the dense forest.
