Kelsey's P.O.V.
Having no evidence aside the fact that the there of them were a part of my case against my uncle, they let me go. I mean, they would have to eventually since I have no idea about it other than hearing it from the need this morning. I needed justice for what happened to me, I know - but I feel bad that he died.
"He deserves it anyway," Ashton said, as we pulled over the driveway, turning off the engine.
I rolled my eyes, hopping off the car.
"I saw that," he said, running ahead of me to open the door. Luke checked the mailbox.
"Well," I started, pointing the obvious. "He's still a family, Ash."
"Wish he thought of that befo---"
"Don't," I stopped him, raising a finger to warn him. "I don't wanna talk about it anymore. Let's move on from it, okay? Maybe this is the sign."
"Okay," he nodded. "Hey, is that an invitation?"
Curious, I followed his gaze. Luke was holding three envelopes. Two were obviously the familiar electricity bill we need to pay by the end of the month and Ashton's line.
"Yeah," Luke said, waving the golden envelope for us to see. "Its a wedding invitation."
"Who?" Ashton and I asked in unison.
Luke shrugged as I snatched it from him, opening it.
"Alli and Mikey's?" Ashton read from behind me, sounding more like a question. "That's next week!"
"Oh," I muttered, looking at the date. "Well, I'm happy for him."
"That girl's a flirt," Luke said. There was a hint of disgust in his voice. "She has like four other guys aside him. She even tried to go to me one time. But I wasn't that drunk to hit on her."
"You knew?" I asked, remembering the first time Michael and I met where he told me about seeing some guy wih her.
"Of course, I know," he said. "Everyone does. That Jack guy who dies was one of them. Don't know what she gave Michael to be so blind and marry her."
"And you didn't told him?" I asked.
"I'm not gonna go telling him something that I don't wanna be in," he pointed out before heading upstairs, leaving me and Ashton.
So, he's marrying her... great.
