Michael's P.O.V.

I tried to focus on the book as she made her way to me. Well, that was until she faked coughed. I looked up, smiling.

"Uh, I-I... hi," she stuttered. Our eyes locked and everything around us seemed to stop.

After what seems like an eternity, though I know it's just a second, I said; "hello."

"Your cof---" she stopped, setting the cup down the table in front of me. "I mean, frappe. Sir."

"Michael," I said. I don't like being called sir.

"What?" She asked, raising her eyebrow.

"Michael," I repeated, laughing. She's cute, I thought. "My name's Michael. I don't like being called sir."

"Okay," she said slowly as if she didn't get it, then she giggled. Her cheeks heat up. "Sorry. I'm new here. Are you a regular?"

"No," I shook my head. "Just discovered this place today."

"Oh," she muttered. "Well, I have to g---"

"Can you join me?" I asked, cutting her off and pointing at the empty chair across me.

She hesitated for a second before looking over the counter where the cashier was. She was already looking at us, smiling. She nodded as if she already know what's going on.

I smiled at her and mouthed 'thank you' before she assisted the customers by the counter. I looked back at her as she smiled awkwardly. "So..."

"Wouldn't hurt, I guess," she said, sitting down. "I'm Kelsey, by the way."

Pretty name, I thought, as pretty as her. "You know Ashton, right?"

"Uh, yeah," she nodded. "Why?"

"Thought so," I chuckled. Where am I going with this? Ugh. "I saw you talking to him outside. I'm friends with him."

"We're childhood friends. Best friends kinda thing," she said, playing with her hands. "I've moved in with them yesterday because my... nevermind. What brings you here?"

"I," I started, closing my mouth immediately as I hesitate. "My girlfriend and I got into a fight."

"Why?" She asked, frowning.

"Something really stupid you would laugh at me," I shrugged.

"Try me," she giggled. "If it's stupid, I think you should go and talk. You wouldn't be here if it's stupid. You aren't going to break up, right?"

"I don't know," yeah, I'm not even sure what really happened with the two of them, I thought. "We've been together for three years already. We've made plans and everything."

"That's long," she said. "You shouldn't be wasting it just because you fight over a stupid thing like you said."

"I don't know," I repeated. Then I sighed. "Okay. I got out last night but it was an emergency and she got mad at me. But, that's not my point. She was in the kitchen this morning with a friend talking about something that I think they don't want me to find out."

"Maybe it's a surprise," she said, more like asking.

"It's a guy," I pointed out. "They were acting weird."

"Ugh, I don't know but I hope it isn't the worst," she pouted. "But, you know what, go ahead and talk to her. Better hearing the truth than pretending it doesn't exist."

"Yeah," I mutteted. "I guess you're right."
