CHAPTER 21

Lavinia was hurt with all the confessions Albert told her. Before, she never thought of taking Albert seriously in their relationship. But as they became closer, she learned to love him for real.

"I'm gonna what you are made of," she thought to herself.

Albert went to visit Melanie that day. Well, actually, it was to meet up with Ana. But he thought they'll meet at Melanie's cafe.

Melanie said it was ok so Ana didn't worry much. Kevin was not there at the time because he became too busy with his own job. It made Melanie somehow happy to NOT see Kevin in the cafe.

"You will be meeting a lot starting today," Bella whispered to Melanie.

"I'm ok with that," she said.

Ana and Albert talked about his plans on making their hotel more accommodating to the guests. She came uop with brilliant designs for improvement. She was given enough time to work on her plans that she will present with the board members in a month.

Melanie was the one to take care of the foods while Ana and Albert together with their staffs are working on her cafe.

"Hi, Mel," Albert greeted her with a huge grin on his face.

Melanie remembered the old Albert and suddenly blushed. She excused herself and let Bella take care of the guests.

"What happened, Mel?" Bella asked.

"Bella, I think I'm going to have a heart attack," Melanie said worried. "Will it be so bad to forgive him? What am I supposed to do?"

Bella held Melanie's hand and they stayed that way for a long time. For Melanie that gesture means that she will be supported in whatever choice she make. That she will still be her friend no matter what.

Bella and Melanie heard a commotion at the cafe. When they went outside, they weren't surprised to see Lavinia, again, causing a scene.

"What the hell are you doing here, Lavinia?" Albert yells at her. "I'm in the middle of an important meeting here, if you should know."

Melanie and Bella came out of the kitchen and faced Lavinia.

"Blondie, if you are in your right mind, I think you better leave. Before I call the police and have u arrested for public scandal," Bella warned her.

Lavinia saw what she was looking for. She walked towards Melanie and stared at her from head to toe. All of a sudden, everyone was caught surprised when Lavinia slapped Melanie.

"You are stealing him from me," Lavinia yelled. "Bitch! I'm gonna make you pay so bad you'll wish to never have met him again."

"LAVINIA! STOP!" Albert yelled.

Derrick stood up and pulled Lavinia out of the cafe. Ana and Bella got Melanie and they returned in the kitchen. Albert was quick and grabbed Melanie's hand.

"What do you want?" Melanie asked yelling. " Didn't you see what your ex did to me? Deal with her first before you come here running after me."

"Mel, I'm sorry for what she did to you. I have no idea she'll come here."

"You have done nothing so you don't need to apologize. She is crazy. Deal with her. Leave me alone!!!"
