CHAPTER 18

It immediately became a small world between Melanie and Lavinia. Mel doesn't know why but she feels weird about this girl. (And guess she is about about to find out why?)

Ana and Bella looked at the direction where Blondie went and were both taken by surprised who she just hugged.

"Albert," they both uttered.

To this, both Melanie and Kevin stod up and looked to the direction where the cousins are looking.

"So, she is with him," Ana said.

"I swear that if I ever see that girl again I am so gonna hit her already," Lavinia uttered as she hugged Albert. "I loved that dress. If you hadn't call me earlier, I might been wearing that for myself tonight."

"What are you talking about, Lavinia?"Albert asked.

"I saw the girl who stole the dress I would have bought for tonight," she said.

"I hate her! I really hate her!"

"Calm down, it's just a dress."

"Ugh! Anyway, aren't you gonna buy me a drink?"

Derrick returned from somewhere bringing a drink for Lavinia. Lavinia looked at Derrick before she grabbed her drink and took a sip from it.

Seeing that scene, Melanie sighed and tried to ignore what she saw. She then grabbed Kevin and the girls and they went back to the dance floor. They stayed there for some time ignoring what they just witnessed.

Their group was about to leave the dance floor when Melanie bumped into a hard body.

"I'm sorry," Melanie uttered. "My bad."

"Melanie?" the owner of the hard body said.

"Shoot! We should have just left," Bella said.

"We have to go," Melanie said not looking at the Albert.

"Wait, we really need to talk, Mel, please."

Then out of nowhere, Blondie appeared and saw Melanie with her friends.

"Again! What is with you always bumping into me? It's the third time today, gosh!" she yelled.

"Not here, Lavinia. You're making a scene."

"I'm out of here," Melanie exclaimed.

Melanie ran out of the dance floor straight to the door and out of the bar. Albert and Kevin both ran after her. Lavinia tried running after Albert but Derrick stopped her. Ana and Bella mouthed a thanks to Derrick and left.

"Melanie!" both the boys called for her.

Albert tried to hold her hands but she stepped back. She almost fell on the ground evading Albert. Kevin immediately grabbed a hold of her and wraps her in a hug.

Upon touching him, Melanie burst out crying. Kevin hugged her and let her tears fall to his shirt.

"Melanie please talk to me," Albert uttered. "Look, I have a million explaining to do. Please let me explain everything to you."

Kevin whispered something to Melanie. "You guys need to talk. If you and him won't talk, you will not know what really happened."

"I'll let him talk, if you stay with me," Melanie said sobbing. "I need you here."

"Why don't you two talk in the car. I'll just be outside. Look, Ana and Bella are here already."

"Mel, you have to talk to him. You will sooner or later so why not now?" Ana said.

"Don't worry, we'll be here."Bella added.

Albert thanked the girls and Kevin and helped Melanie inside her car. She saw Derrick come out of the bar escorting Lavinia in his car. It's good she didn't see him or else, he will be totally screwed.

"You have ten minutes so TALK!" Melanie demanded.

A sigh left Albert's mouth.
