CHAPTER 26

"How do you feel about working for RHR permanently, Miss Mendez?"

Melanie was surprised with what Uncle Bill said. She stared at Albert who is at the moment smiling nonstop at her.

"Uncle Bill is I think asking you something, sweetheart."

"I think I'm going to have a heart attack," Melanie whispered to herself.

Melanie is smiling at Albert the whole time.

"Of course, sir, I want to work with RHR. But permanently? What will be of my cafe?"

"Think of it as changing the location of Good Vibes cafe here in RHR. Not just the cafe but the good vibes itself, but also the good mood to your guests there."

"I can't believe this, Albert. Are you guys risking the name of your hotel for my sake? Isn't it too much? I can just continue supplying desserts for your hotel, sir."

Everyone was silent when Albert's mom stood up and looked at Melanie. Melanie was again, in her nervous stage waiting for any action Albert's mom will do.

"You are really the most humble girl I have ever met. That is why I am so happy that you and my son have crossed paths again," Mrs. Roque said as she held Mel's hands. "

Melanie can't even utter a word to Albert's mom because of her nervousness. When Mrs. Roques pressed softly on her hands, she suddenly relaxed and smiled at her.

"Our hotel guests have been asking about you and your desserts ever since you started delivering them here. And we thought of having you here in RHR as our partner is a good way of introducing you to the guests who are craving for your desserts."

"I thought only in dreams can I think of working beside or with Albert. And it will be a pleasure to work with RHR and at the same time, learn more about my craft. Thank you for this opportunity. I will never let you guys down. Thank you so much!!!"

"I know you will love this, Melanie."

Mel softly hit Albert's leg and playfully smiled at him.

"That is for not telling me about this, Albert Roque. You really did surprise me."

In 3 months, everything was set for the transfer of GVC in RHR. Melanie's regular customers are excited for the big jump f the cafe. They said they will still be visiting her there every time they want a taste of Melanie's cooking.

"I am so happy for you right now, Ana told Melanie as she gets ready for he opening/launch of the cafe in RHR.

"Everyone is going to be here," Bella added. And I will not be surprised if Albert uses this event to propose to you, finally."

"Cut it out, Bella that is just too much right now. He is even too busy to visit me here and oversee the renovation of this place."

"Are you guys talking about e behind my back," Albert uttered from behind them.

"No, Al, we are not talking about you and about how you can't have the time to visit Mel here in the renovations of this place, Ana said laughing.

"Oh, about that, Albert said looking at Mel. Sorry, Love. Many things have just came up with RHR matters and I was stuck in my office. Derrick made me stay up there for god knows how long. I'm sorry."

"Yeah about that. Where is Derrick anyway? He can't even give me a call even for a few minutes. That guy."

Bella looked at Ana with accusing looks. Melanie got the message and looked at Ana, too.

"Is there something we should now, little cousin?" Bella asked her.

Realizing what she just said, Ana was caught off guard and just blushed. Just the time when Derrick entered the premises, too.

Ana whispered something to Derrick and he, too, blushed.

"We are not hiding it by choice, guys," Derrick said. We have just became too busy to tell everyone about us."

"Us? US? Melanie and Bella screamed. The workers looked at them. "Ana, you are dating and we are just finding about this just now? What kind of friend are you?"

The three girls just laughed together. Derrick and Albert looked at each other clueless of what is happening in front of them.

And Melanie is ready to work in a much larger scale.
