Forever: Oh, Those Brits!
“Please,” Nigel pleaded. His eyes were wide and he pushed out his lower lip slightly.
“No!” shouted Maria, burying her face in her hands. She gave a huff of annoyance and didn’t dare look at him.
“Pretty please?” He scooted closer to her and poked her side, just below her ribcage.
She squirmed away from him and let out a small squeal. Raising her head, she punched him hard under the arm.
“Ouch!” He rubbed the spot under his armpit, scowling at Maria.
“Don’t ever do that again!” She snarled at him.
“No need to be harsh about it,” he muttered, frowning at her newly formed anger.
She turned away from him so she couldn’t see his face and held back the urge to burst out laughing. Sticking her nose in the air, she ignored him.
She heard him sigh.
“The silent treatment, huh?” Nigel asked. When she didn’t respond, he leaned toward her silently with a smirk. “Thankfully, I know how to get you to talk.” He pressed his forehead against the crook of her neck.
Biting her lip nervously, but still maintaining her composure, Maria felt her cheeks grow hot.
STOP IT, her mind screamed as butterflies filled her stomach.
Nigel heard her swallow and chuckled. He reached his hands up and rested them on either side of her torso. Smirking, he started moving his fingers back and forth in quick motions, up and down her sides.
Maria burst into a fit of giggles and tried to squirm away from him, but he just pushed her to the ground and straddled her waist, and continued tickling her.
“S-stop it!” she choked out through her laughter, failing horribly at shielding herself.
“Only under one condition,” Nigel said with an evil grin, pausing momentarily.
Maria groaned. “What?”
“Remember what I asked a few minutes ago?” He hovered over her, looking down at her, watching as she covered her face with her hands.
“Are you freaking serious?” Peering up at him through gaps between her fingers, she saw him pout again and groaned once more. “Why do you have to do that?”
“Because.” Nigel pushed his hands under her back, and pulled her upwards, pressing his tummy against hers. “I know you can’t resist it.”
“I hate you,” Maria muttered under her breath.
Nigel sighed. “Say that all you want, you know you can’t turn down the puppy dog face.”
“You’re right, I can’t.” Maria moved her hands from her face and took Nigel’s face in them. She pulled his head down to hers and placed her lips over his.
Nigel chuckled into the kiss as he ran his hand over her waist and slipped it up under her shirt, pressing it firmly against the small of her back. He felt her hands move up into his hair and smirked. Pulling away, he removed his hand from under her shirt.
“You know that’s not what I asked for.” He snickered.
Maria scowled at him and let her hands fall back down.
“You’d have to let me up,” she told him.
He reluctantly pushed himself off of her and rolled over next to her. With a smirk, he watched as she stood and walked to the table to the left of the couch, and opened the drawer on the right.
