Forever: Oh, Annoyance

The day quickly passed by and the next thing Maria knew, she was collapsing onto Kirsten’s multicolored bed with a loud “OMPH!”

“Home sweet home,” she said, rolling over and kicking off her shoes onto the floor.

Jane, who stood at the door of the room, quickly took off her shoes and dived on top of Maria in the bed.

“You fatass!” Maria teased. “Get off!”

Jane rolled over and grinned at Kirsten.

“Come join the party!” she yelled.

Kirsten just rolled her eyes and walked into her closet to change. When she came back, she pointed to the three beanbag chairs in the corner of the room and plopped down on the blue one.

Both Maria and Jane raced for the purple one, but Maria pounced onto it before Jane could and gave her an innocent smirk. Jane scowled at her and sat down on the pink one.

“Be nice you two,” Kirsten said, rolling her eyes at their glare-off, only to be ignored for the next few minutes as Jane and Maria’s scowls hardened.

Maria grinned as she won and turned to Kirsten.

“Sorry, did you say something?” she asked.

Kirsten sighed and rubbed her temples.

“Ugh, never mind,” she mumbled. After a few moments she looked back at Maria, looking over her.

“Like what you see?” Maria asked jokingly, only to be responded with a smack over the head. “Ow!”

“Go into my closet and pick out something to wear at the game,” Kirsten told her sternly. “No offence, but you look like you just walked out a mosh pit.”

Maria gave her a skeptic look. “Why?” she asked slowly.

“Because I said to,” Kirsten snapped.

Maria shot to her feet and walked to Kirsten’s closet, cursing under her breath. After a few minutes of looking through tons of clothing that all belonged to Kirsten, she picked out a black and neon green v-neck and faded boot cut jeans and replaced her ripped and worn straight leg jeans and faded and holey All Time Low shirt with them. She pushed other clothes into the corner and set her hand on the doorknob, but heard the other two whispering and stopped.

“No, I don’t think she likes Will,” Jane whispered. “I mean, why would she?”

“Well, you know how they act around each other,” Kirsten hissed back. “It seems to me like they should be much more than just friends.”

“Oh, come on,” Jane said, a little too loud, but then lowered her voice as she continued. “It’s kind of obvious that they were best friends. Their moms are best friends, so they grew up together. Their birthdays are on the exact same day; they had birthday parties together, and all that. I bet if you had someone like that, you’d act the same way.”

“Yeah, but don’t you think it’s possible that after all this time, they could have grown to love each other in-”

Maria kicked the door open, and strutted out, acting as if she hadn’t heard her two friends blabbing about her love life.

“What’s the point of me doing this?” Maria asked, pointing to her attire.

Kirsten shrugged lightly. “I was just getting irritated with your ragged stuff.”

What a lie, Maria thought as Kirsten’s brother yelled at them to get out so they could head out to the game.

“I call shotgun!” Maria shouted as she ran out to Roy’s 2008 red Jeep Wrangler and waited for Jane and Kirsten to get in the back. When they did, she enthusiastically hopped into the passengers seat and buckled up.

Roy got in on the other side, put the key in the ignition, and turned it, and the Jeep roaring to life. The lights on the dashboard lit up and music began playing.

Maria bounced a little in her seat as Roy pulled out of the driveway and started their journey down the road. She drummed her fingers against her leg as she listened to the screamo music blared from the speakers.

“Do we have to listen to this?” Kirsten asked over its loud volume.

“YES!” Roy and Maria shouted at the same time.

Roy grinned at the windshield, looking as if he were trying his hardest to not laugh at his sister’s look of annoyance, which he could see in the rearview mirror.

Soon enough, Roy stopped in the parking lot and waited for the girls to get out before he got out himself. He walked with them to the front gates and paid the admission for the four of them.  He stopped them just as they were about to pass the concession stands.

“Okay, so you all have my number in your phones, right?” he asked. They all nodded. “Okay, good. You guys take care of each other. If one of you goes missing, I swear I will kill the other two left, got it?”

When they nodded, he pulled each of them into a separate hug and kissed their foreheads, and then took off to the direction of the restrooms.

“Damn, they’re growing up fast,” he muttered to himself. “Nigel, you better know what you’re doing.”

Okay, yeah, it's kind of lame at the moment, but things will...spice up (I guess...) in a little bit. I'm trying really hard here, so don't judge me!
