'The truth so loud you can't ignore, my youth is yours.'
"My name is Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz the Third." Pete stands up, completely cutting off what I am going to ask. "My candle has the initials of P.M.V.S."
At first I want to laugh. Is he joking? I stare at him and his eyes tells me he's not lying at all.
No freaking way. Pete is my soulmate?
"What?" I run to my room and yep, my candle is burning even brighter than ever. I hear Pete's footsteps behind me. I turn around and face him. "Pete."
"Yes, Patrick?" He manages a weak smile.
"Can I see your candle?" I rub my hands together. I'm so nervous all of a sudden. Shouldn't I be happy?
Why do I want to curl up in a ball and cry? My insides want to hurl out. I gulp and look at him.
He only nods and leaves the room. After a few minutes, he comes back with a light blue candle in his hand, the flames going wild. "Here you go."
Pete places the candle beside mine (or his, I don't know anymore) and sighs. "I have no idea what to do."
"Same," I mumble, plopping down my bed and put my arm over my eyes. "I feel strange."
"Soulmates, huh." I hear him chuckle. "That's relieving, to be honest."
I remove my arm from my eyes and face him. "Wh-what do you mean by that?"
"'Cause," Pete sits on my bed, "I've been crushing on you eversince I saw your pretty face."
"Oh." I hide my face with my pillow, I know I'm so red right now. "I-I don't know what to s-say."
Pete tugs off the pillow and smiles at me. "You don't have to." He leans down and presses his lips against mine. I kiss back, closing my eyes. His lips were kinda chapped but I didn't mind. I like the feeling. Pete pulls back, grinning widely.
Holy smokes.
"You're so cute when you're a blushing mess." He mutters. I grab the pillow beside me and hit his face.
"Shut up, P-Pete." Damn it, stutter!
He laughs, lying down beside me. "Guess that was your first kiss, am I right? Or am I right?"
I giggle, "You're a dork."
"Aww, Pattycakes is still red as a tomato!" He nuzzles his face on my neck, and I can feel his warm breath. "You're so perfect."
"No, I'm not."
"Patrick," Pete hovers over me. I sink even further down my bed. "You're beautiful and perfect and really nice. Never think otherwise. Patty, you deserve the world." He brushes his hand on my cheek, and I lean to his touch.
"Did you mean you?" I smile. "You make me happy, Pete. I was so down before you came into my life. You lit up my world."
Wow, I've only known him for 2 weeks and this is happening.
Pete only grins wider. "So romantic, Patty."
"Shut up and just kiss me." I pull him forward and kiss him. He hums into the kiss and deepen it, my arms wrapping around his neck. Pete nibbles on my bottom lip and I try my best not to let out a moan. I didn't succeed. Pete stops for a moment before laughing softly.
"What does this make us?" He asks.
I shrug, noticing the candles' flames mixing to one another. "Whatever you want it to be, I guess."
"Okay then, Patrick? Will you be my boyfriend? Or husband, if you like." Pete cheesily beams.
This guy. He'll be the death of me.
"Let's stick with boyfriends first."
I can't wait to marry him, though.
