Chapter 7

I storm home after waiting for an hour angrily at school.

I yank the door open, and go to my room, flopping down on the bed.

Michael follows me into the room. "What's wrong?"

"Your boyfriend, that's what's wrong! Agh!"

"Oh no."

"Oh yes."

"What did he do?"

"That fuktard was supposed to meet me after school today for tutoring. What did he think, it was only for one day?"

Michael cringes. The doorbell rings. "I'll get it," he rushes go answer it.

In two minutes, my door bursts open and Luke frantically rushes in.

"I am so, so sorry!" He covers his hand with his mouth.

"I waited an hour for you, dickhëad!" I retort.

"I'm sorry!" He tugs his hand through his hair. "I forgot to remind you that Coach told me we had afterschool practise today!"

"You could've texted!"

"I don't have your number!"

"You could've asked Michael to forward it. Or Calum."

"I did, Michael didn't respo- wait, Calum?" He asks.

"Yeah. We exchanged numbers when you were being lovey dovey with Mikey."

Michael shrugs. "My phone got confiscated this morning."

"Why?" Luke turns to him.

"I was actually texting Calum."

"My best friend texts you but he doesn't text me?" Luke exclaims. "Since when is my best friend so social?"

"Since his best friend has a boyfriend to keep him company and leaves him out," I say to Luke.

"Shît, I didn't mean to make him feel left out," Luke mumbles. "I need to call him."

"I'll go with." Michael says. He looks at me. "Coming?"

"Nah."

"Miss out then."

"Whatever," I say, flopping back on the bed.

My eyelids feel droopy and just as I am about to sleep fifteen minutes later, a body jumps on me.

"Luke! Get off me!"

"But we need to study!" He whines.

"I'm done with studying," I reply, scowling.
