I got back from dinner rather late and hopped in the shower.
I let the warm water run over my body as I squirted shampoo into my hands. I heard the bathroom door open.
"Hey, I'm home." Alex said. I couldn't see him, for the shower curtain was separating us.
"Hey. How was your day?" I asked as I heard him brush his teeth.
"Boring. Stressful." He replied.
"Why are you home so late?" I questioned, rinsing the shampoo out of my hair.
"Dave and I went out for a drink." He responded.
I turned off the shower and wrapped a towel around me before stepping out. Alex was standing there clipping his toenails.
How attractive.
"Oh hey." He said, looking up at me, his blue eyes meeting mine.
"Hey. Will you make me some tea?" I asked, giving him the puppy dog face.
"Yeah, sure. What kind?" He asked.
"Mint please. Thank you!" I have him a peck on the cheek as he walked out. I got dressed into my pajama pants and 3 Doors Down t-shirt and joined Alex in the kitchen.
His back was turned and he was opening a tea packet.
"Hey baby!" I said happily, wrapping my arms around his waste. Alex was fit and tall, every girl's dream.
"Hey. Your tea is almost ready." He replied dully.
"Thanks honey. How was uni?" I asked.
"Boring. Just a bunch of shit that I'll never use in my life." He replied bitterly, causing me to laugh.
"I'm so glad I dropped out." I said, and he scratched the back or his neck.
"About that... Why don't you go back? Maybe get a law degree?" He suggested, handing me my tea.
I frowned. "You sound like my family."
"I just think that in the long-run, it's best." He shrugged, sitting at the small table.
"I love what I do, okay?" I defended.
"Yes but economically it's not the best decision!" He argued.
"Why are you just now bringing this up? You've supported my decision for the past two years and now here you are, crushing all of my hopes and dreams!" I replied, raising my voice.
"Honey... Artists don't make enough money these days, especially young ones like you." He said.
"Just... Just leave me alone." I said angrily as I stormed off to our room, slamming the door behind me.
I threw myself onto the bed, curling up into a ball.
Alex has been an ass lately and now he's telling me how to live my life.
"Baby... Baby please open the door." I heard him say.
"No!"
"Come on I'm sorry, okay?" He said.
I slowly got up and turned the door handle, revealing Alex, the boy I love.
"I'm sorry I'm such an ass, and I've been ignoring you lately. I've just been really stressed out." He said as he hugged me.
"It's okay." I told him.
What a lie.

Liam's POV:
I got home from dinner and showered, only to be interrupted by my ringing phone.
I sighed as I put on my clothes and answered it.
"Hey Harry." I said.
"Hey, um... My co-worker at the bakery, Chris, is having a party tomorrow night and I was wondering if you wanted to come." He said.
"Yeah sure. So I have a question of my own." I replied. I wasn't going to beat around the bush- I was getting straight to the point.
"Shoot." He said, giving me permission to ask.
"Do you fancy Callie?" I asked.
"W-what no!" He denied, and I chuckled knowing he was lying.
"It's not a bad thing. She's quite beautiful and charismatic." I replied.
"I-I don't know. She has a boyfriend so..."
"I'll meet him and then I'll tell you how much of a chance you have." I told him.
"Okay."
Well, I guess it's time to meet the boyfriend.
