*four days later*

My head seemed clearer, less foggy, as soon as I realized that I wasn't over Alex. Of course, it made me miss him even more, but at least the guilt of 'liking' Harry was gone.

As I shut down the studio for the day, my phone rang from my pocket. It startled me- I hardly ever have my phone off of vibrate.

"Hello?" I asked into it.

"Hey, it's Niall. I was wondering if you wanted to come hang out with us? The boys and I haven't seen you in a while." He said.

"Sure, of course. I'll be over in a couple minutes." I informed him.

"Great, see you then." he said. I smiled, happy that someone had invited me over. I'll admit, things had been a bit lonely and boring the last few days, not that I wasn't used to being alone or anything.

I wasn't particularly, close to Louis or Zayn, so I was a bit nervous. I mean, I wanted them to like me. Not like-like, but as a friend.

I readjusted the beanie that was on my head and tried to get the any dried paint off of my oversized sweater. Snow lightly drifted down from the sky as I closed my eyes and enjoyed the cold air. Sometimes my studio got too hot, and the cold air was refreshing on my pale skin.

My lack of car had always been there- Alex and I only had money for one car, and that one had gotten ruined in the accident and we didn't have insurance on it.

Sighing, I began to trudge down the sidewalk towards the guys' flat. The snowflakes that were drifting down from the sky hit my face, making my nose and cheeks red. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I took it out, only to see a text from a number I didn't recognize.

From: *insert random phone number*

Hey, it's Ryan. You're making a charcoal drawing for me, if that helps refresh your memory. I was wondering if you would like to go out for coffee sometime?

This was by far the weirdest text I'd ever recieved. None of my clients ever offer to take me out to coffee or really anything for that matter.

I thought for a moment before answering.

To: Ryan

Sure, that sounds lovely! I'll let you know when I'm free so that we can schedule a time to meet :)

Sending the text, I kept walking and eventually made it to the flat. I walked into the building and made it to their door.

Knocking on it, I waited and picked at the chipping purple nail polish that coated my nails.

This was all very strange- going over to a flat shared by five guys that may or may not be serial killers. In all honesty, I didn't know know these guys all that well. I must seem pretty stupid to everyone.

I mean, meeting two guys in a coffee shop and becoming friends with them is kinda stupid and only happens in stories, yet it happened to me.

"Callie!" Zayn said happily, opening the door. His honey-colored eyes met mine as he snapped my out of my daze.

"Hey Zayn!" I said happily, giving him a quick hug. The flat was silent, making me slightly suspicious. A flat shared by five teenage boys should be loud and messy, not quiet and somewhat clean.

"The boys went to the store to get some snacks. They should be home soon," Zayn informed me, as if reading my mind. "but you can watch some Telly while we wait."
