Chapter Thirty-Eight: He Just Kissed Me

Three Days Later:

Lucas has been thinking about what he said to Maya just three days ago.

How could I be so stupid as to say no when Maya asked me if I still liked her? Of course I do! Lucas thought. Who couldn't like maya? She beautiful and she doesn't care what people think about her. She's so imperfect, it makes her perfect in my eyes. I need to tell her how I actually feel.

Lucas got off his bed and got dressed. It was Sunday. No school. He got ready and left his house. He walked to Maya's thinking of what he would say when he got there. He kept thinking until he realized he was suddenly at her door knocking.

"What?" Maya asked when she answered the door.

Lucas leaned and and kissed her. Maya closed her eyes and kissed back. They just stood in the doorway passionately kissing for a few minutes.

"Of course I still like you," Lucas said after their kiss. Maya smiled. "In fact, I think I may be in love with you." They were both panting and smiling at the same time.

"I think I might be in love with you, too," Maya smiled again. She kissed him and after, Bret started to walk in the direction of Riley's.

"Maya, will you be my girlfriend again?" Lucas asked, hopefully.

"Of course," Maya smiled.

He dropped off at Riley's, and walked up the fire escape and entered through the window and saw Riley sitting at the bay window on her phone.

"Hey, peaches," Riley said when she saw Maya.

"I have something to tell you," Maya said with a smile as she sat down.

"What is it?" Riley said, getting excited. "I haven't really seen you happy since you and Lucas... You know."

"Well, Lucas came over to my house and when I answered the door," she paused.

"What? What happened?" Riley asked, getting antsy.

"He just kissed me!" Maya finished.

"He KISSED you?" Riley asked, shocked.

"Yeah!" Maya replied. "And then he said he thinks he might be in love with me."

"OH MY GOSH! MAYA THAT'S HUGE!" Riley said with a huge smile.

"I know!" Maya smiled. "And I said I might be in love with him, too!"

"YOU DID?" Riley asked with a huge smile. "Did you mean it?"

"Of course I did! I wouldn't have said it if I didn't," Maya replied.

"This is huge!" Riley said.

"That's not all." Maya said.

"There's MORE?" Riley asked with big eyes. "I don't think my heart can take anymore," She joked.

Maya laughed and said, "he asked me to be his girlfriend again."

"Did you say yes?" Riley asked.

"I did," Maya smiled.

"Man, after six months, you guys are finally back together!" Riley smiled. "It's about time!"

Maya smiled and replied, "yeah. It is."

Mines Relient K. They're not very popular, but I've been listening to them for as long as I can remember, and they've been my favorite for a long time. You guys should listen to them they're really good!  At least, i think they are lol. I'm actually going to they're concert tomorrow night so I'm pretty excited.
