Chapter Thirty-Two: What's His Problem?

One Month Later:

Maya and Lucas have been broken up for two months. They're growing further and further apart. They're both very sad about it.

Lucas is trying to get over Maya but he really can't. He's tried everything. Except for going on a date but he doesn't want to. He's not gonna.

And Maya, she's still trying to figure out her feelings. She's trying everything. She doesn't know why she can't figure them out.

She was going over the Matthews today. Well, actually. That's no surprise. She always goes over their house so whatever.

She went through Riley's window and saw her writing something at her desk.

'How to get Maya and Lucas to at least talk again'

"No, no, no," Maya said when she grabbed the paper from Riley. "You guys are not coming up with another plan," Maya said. She ripped up the paper and threw it in the garbage.

"Whaaaat? That's not what I was doing," Riley lied.

"You guys are not coming up with another plan," Maya said. "Got it?"

"Fine," Riley said.

Riley left to go to the bathroom and Maya sat at the bay window waiting. Josh walked in.

"Riley I came to-"
He cut himself off when he saw Maya. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm always here. I'm actually here more than you are," Maya said, rudely. But he deserved it.

"Geez, I was just asking a question. What's up with you?" He said in a jerky tone.

"What's up with me?" Maya asked, shocked. "Excuse me, but who's the one who randomly decided he would be a jerk two months ago!?"

"Jerk? No," Josh said.

"Just leave me alone, Josh," Maya said.

"Whatever," he scoffed. He left the room and met Riley on the way out. "Hey I came to give you your camera back"

"Oh thanks!" Riley smiled.

"No problem. See you guys later," Josh said.

"Who has he been hanging out with that he's such a jerk?" Maya asked.

"What do you mean? He's the same he's always been," Riley replied, confused.

"No he isn't. Before you got here he was being a complete jerk," Maya replied.

"Really?" Riley asked, shocked.

"Yeah. What's his problem?" Maya asked.

"I don't know," Riley replied.
