Jessie~
The next day, I wanted to go on a walk, and that's exactly what I did. Luke stayed home, fast asleep, and I left him a note explaining my whereabouts.
A dress in a store caught my eye, and I went inside to try and find it. It was a beautiful dress, and I just felt like I should get it. But as I searched the store, I couldn't find it, and I started to get upset?
"Can I help you find something?" A voice behind me asked.
I turned to see a short woman smiling at me. She had curves to make any woman jealous, but she didn't seem the type to flaunt off what she got. With her dimples exposed from her smile, and the way her hands are nervously fumbling, she was so cute. Obviously, she knew who I was.
"Yes. I'm trying to find that dress that's on display," I replied.
But if she was nervous, she showed no ounce of it in the way she talked. "Oh, yeah. It's in the back, because it isn't out yet."
"Oh. Then it's fine, I'll just come back another day--"
"No, I'll get it out. It has a price on it and everything."
I smiled at her as she lead me to the cashier's desk. "You don't have to go through all that trouble, you know."
"Anything for you." Before going to the back, she winked at me, then went to the back.
There was something different about her. If she was a fan, she isn't acting like the typical ones. She's not crying over me, or telling me how much she loves me, or getting me to sign her face or something. She's just treating me somewhat normal. Which I liked.
The woman emerged from the room with the dress on a rack. It looked even more beautiful in person.
"I really want to thank you...um..."
"It's Nicki," she answered, ringing the dress up.
"Then, thank you Nicki," I thanked, getting out my card.
"You know," Nicki said, "out of all the people that are models and stars like you and actresses, I think you're the most beautiful out of all."
My cheeks began to heat up, and I lowered my face, just as Nicki started to giggle. "Erm, thank you."
"I'm sorry to make you embarrassed."
"No, it's fine."
Once I knew my face felt cooler, I looked up and Nicki was handing me the bag with the dress and my card back. Again, I thanked her, then left the store.
Throughout the day, I kept thinking about Nicki. She was such a different fan. Not even asking or hinting at a signature. It reminded me of N. Well, Nicki starts with an 'N'. And they somewhat act the same. But maybe it's just her personality is the same as the one writing love letters to me. And maybe my brain is so desperate in trying to find that one person that it's picking the first person that fits the description. But, I shook it off until I got back home.

"Where's the dress from?" Luke asked when I was hanging it up in the closet.
"A store I saw when I was walking," I replied instantly, running my hands down the dress to remove the invisible wrinkles.
"Oh. Cool. What's it for?"
"Nothing. I just saw it and liked it."
"What if you never wear it?"
Why was he asking so many questions about a dress? It's just a dress.
I turned to face my boyfriend, who was still lying on the bed on his phone. "So what if I never wear it? How come you're so concerned in what clothes I buy?"
For the first time since I've been home, he looked at me. "I'm just trying to be a caring and concerned boyfriend, Jessie."
"Trying to be? You're automatically supposed to be caring and concerned. Because that's what boyfriends do!"
"Well, I'm talking to you, aren't I?"
Oddly, this had me heated and frustrated, and I could only storm out of the room. Luke was being ridiculous and sarcastic, and I didn't like it one bit. My dog, Jackson, was right on my heels as I headed to the living room to watch tv and clear my head.
But as I stroked my dog's fur and glued my eyes on the television, my mind wandered back to Nicki and the letter. They both possibly couldn't be related to each other. Could they?
A/N: I know these are shorter than the chapters I usually write, and I'm sorry about that.
Also, I had an idea for an Ask Book. You can ask me crap and stuff. Yay or nay?
