"...So, Jessie. We all know the rumors between you and Luke James. That you've broken up because he was seen with another girl. And we'd all like to know: is it true?"

I was in an interview on the radio. Fortunately, nobody could see the conflicting look on my face as I wondered if I should tell them.

Many interviewers asked this question, and I'd always skip it, still uncomfortable with the topic. But now that I've got Nicki by my side, I'm more confident in my answer.

"Yeah, we've broken up," I truthfully replied. "Actually, he dumped me over the phone."

"Ouch! He's not a real respectable man now, is he?"

I shook my head. "I guess not."

"Have you seen him after your breakup?"

"No, not really. Honestly, I think he's a bit scared of me now," I joked.

"We know he has a significant other now. Do you?"

Another of those tough questions. I wasn't sure if Nicki wanted us to go public or not. So I just said, "Can't tell you."

"Surely you can."

"Nope. Can't."

"Alrighty then..."

When I stepped out of the room, Nicki was waiting for me. She hugged me and kissed my cheek.

"How come you didn't tell him about us?" She asked, walking with me to the back doors.

"I wanted to go public when you think the time is right. We haven't been together long, so I thought you wanted to wait."

"Right. You know, I keep forgetting what you are. You're just like any normal person around me."

"I appreciate that, baby."

We got into my car, with no sight of anybody, and I started off towards home.

"What are we doing today?" I asked.

Nicki smirked and turned towards me. "I have an idea..."

Her lips latched onto my neck, kissing and searching for my sweet spot. Once she found it, I started moaning, struggling to concentrate on the road.

"Baby, please..." I whined, trying to push her away.

But she held her ground, slipping her hand under my shirt. She pulled my bra under my breasts, and took one in her hand.

"Nicki, don't! I can't concentrate..." I tried.

Nicki continued sucking and massaging me. She wouldn't let up until we arrived to my house, where I cut the car off and kissed Nicki feverishly. She moaned in my mouth, her hand still under my shirt.

The slamming of a door brought us back to our senses, and we pulled away from each other immediately. My focus was on my house door, and who had walked out of it along with the girl that had kissed him that day.

I fixed myself then got out the car, and so did Nicki. Luke smirked at us as we approached him. I was heated. Heated that he brung some stranger into MY home after we broke up.

"What are you doing here?" I angrily asked him.

"Getting some stuff."

I looked down at his empty hands. "You don't have anything."

"No, but she does," he nodded to his whore, who smiled at me.

Nicki glared at her, looking her up and down. Just then I noticed familiar earrings in her ears.

"Are those my earrings?" I asked, turning back to Luke.

"Correction: my earrings, that I bought you."

"But once you give someone something, you can't give it back!" I protested.

"Right. Like I gave you my heart, and you crushed it being with that." He nodded towards Nicki.

"At least she actually cares for me! She treated me better than you ever could!"

"Jessica, she's a girl," he firmly pointed out.

"I know that, Captain Obvious."

"What about you not liking girls anymore?"

"I'm wrong at times!"

"Clearly," he scoffed, walking past us to go to his vehicle.

Nicki made to move towards him and his girlfriend, but I held her back. "They're not worth it," whispered in her ear.

She crossed her arms as I led her into my home. "If he's still hurting you, he is kinda worth it. I wouldn't mind being in jail if he was beaten well enough."

"Nicki!" I scolded, but started to giggle also.

"But I'm not hurting," I continued as I locked the door.

"Yes you are. I could see it. I'm not stupid, you know?"

"I never said you were. But I'm not hurt. Furious, yes. But not hurt."

Nicki looked at me longer than necessary before going to sit on the couch.

"You're mad," I said, going over to her.

"I'm not mad," she replied.

"You are." I went over and sat beside her. "But I'm not hurt..."

Which turned out to be a lie. Though I was furious at Luke, I was a little hurt. That he'd care so much to get the things he got me and give it to his stupid girlfriend. Now I'm mad at myself for caring so much.

Jackson ran up and got himself situated between my legs. I scratched his head for a bit, looking at Nicki. She was facing away from me, looking irritated.

But I didn't see no reason to apologize to her. It's not my fault he planned this and did it. I didn't ask him to come and do it.

"It's funny how one minute we're all over each other, but the next you're mad at me," I commented.

Nicki merely shrugged before ignoring me again.

"Why are you letting him get to you? Why are you letting him win?"

"I'm not!"

"Then stop being mad at me and him! I'm not with him anymore, I'm with you. You have me now, so you can't keep getting irritated over the stupidest stuff he does!"

"But I'm afraid, okay!"

Afraid? What could this small ball of cuteness be afraid of? "Afraid?"

"Yes! I'm afraid that you still love him and go back to him, leaving me in the dust! I'm not famous, I'm not rich! I'm the complete opposite of him!"

"Yeah, you really are," I agreed. "Because you have something he doesn't."

"Yeah? Like what?"

"My heart," I murmured against her neck before kissing it.
