The teams uniforms~
Sorry, this Chapter might be a bit short!!!
I woke up the next morning and realized that I had to get ready for the tryouts. I was so excited to get to finally get to know some people.
I got dressed and packed my bag. I ran downstairs and my dad was sitting there waiting for me to come down.
"Where are you going this early in the morning?" He asked looking at my outfit.
"Tryouts," I said grabbing a banana.
"Tryouts?" He asked wanting me to elaborate.
"Yeah, for cheerleading. I figured I might as well make the next two years here in Texas great. I mean they are known for football right?" I asked.
"True, true, good luck sweetheart," he said throwing me some keys.
"Thank you!" I yelled back at him walking out the door.
I drove the school and walked out the football field where the cheerleaders were stretching and the football players were practicing.
"Katie!!" The girl who talked to me in the library yelled.
"Hey, I'm sorry, but I guess I never caught your name," I said laughing.
"Oh... I am sorry! My name is Sophia," She said pulling to the rest of the girls in the group.
"So you must be the new girl?" They all said at once. Then they started to laugh.
"Yeah..." I was a little nervous.
"Are you nervous?" I heard a guy ask from behind me.
I turned around to see Damion standing there in a shirt that was cut to show his abs and his shorts.
"Dude, Damion! Let's go!" I heard another guy yell at him.
"You had better go," I said motioning back to the guys.
"Yeah, whatever," He said waving them off. Just as he said that Lyndsy came up and give him a big kiss on the cheek.
He just smiled at me and kissed her back. I couldn't help, but feel a pang of jealousy run through me, but I didn't let it show. He still smiled at me like he could read my mind.
"Bye, Katie," He said and turned around to go back to the team. I caught myself staring after him not wanting him to go. I shook off the thoughts and went back to the rest of the girls.
"I didn't know that you were going to try out for the team," Lyndsy said with a smirk.
"Don't tell me you are one the people who determines whether or not I make it on the team," I said rolling my eyes.
"But of course. Your life would be horrible if not, right?" She asked.
"The good thing is that she is not the only one who has the final decision," Sophia said to me. "I am the captain if you do not remember, Lyndsy."
"Yeah, yeah, don't remind me. You should count your lucky stars, Katie, because if it was up to me I would not let you near this team," Lyndsy said smirking.
I just rolled my eyes and started stretching. I wasn't going to let her ruin this day for me.
"Okay, all you have to do is copy what Sophia does," A red haired girl said with a friendly smile.
I watched Sophia intently not wanting to miss a single step. When it was my turn I hit the routine spot on and they all clapped.
"Wow, you are so good," Sophia said with a smile.
"She's right," I heard Damion say from behind me.
"I think that Lyndsy would be mad if she saw you talking to me," I said with a smirk. I couldn't help but run my eyes over his body.
"And I'm pretty sure that Kevin would be mad if he knew what you were thinking right now," Damion said with a glint of knowing in his eyes.
"Whatever. I have to go," I said leaving him standing there watching me. "It's not nice to stare," I said and he started to laugh while walking back to the team.
