Truth Be Told (texted)

Damion's Pov

I shouldn't have helped out Kevin so generously.  I was stupid for that, but the look in Katie's eyes told me that she couldn't have done it on her own.  I loved her.  Of course, I did!  Who wouldn't?  She had hair the color of the sand and eyes the golden flecks in them.  I could stare at her eyes all day.  I had to shake these thoughts.

"Damion!" Taylor yelled.  Taylor is my sister.  My extremely annoying sister.  She had blonde hair and bright blue eyes.  We all looked different and it is astonishing that people didn't realize.  

"What?"

"I understand that you would rather wallow in self-pity, but some of us need to do things, and you sitting around is not helping!"  She yelled up the stairs at me.  

"Whatever!  I'm not wallowing..."  I lied.

"Sure, just get down here.  Mom and dad need to talk to us."

I got up and walked downstairs.  I was not excited for this talk.  I knew exactly what they were going to say.  

"Now that everyone is down here,"  they all turned toward me, "we will begin."

"Can I say something, before we even start?"  I asked interrupting what my father was saying. 

"What?"

"I'm not leaving..."  I said knowing what he was going to talk about before he even said.

"You have a very unfair advantage in all of this.  Your siblings did not know yet,"  he said with wide eyes. 

Yeah, we had a big family, but we all weren't blood-related.  There was Liz, Daniel, and I.  We were all blood if that's what you wanted to call it.  Then you had Taylor, Drake, and Kendell who were just 'adopted' in.  

"I was explaining myself before we had this conversation."

"You have no choice in the matter.  You should have never gotten involved with that 'Katie' girl,"  my dad said.  His eyes were dark with anger. 

"That Katie girl!  Yeah, she means the world to me and I will not leave her until I know she knows what is really going on.  She walked into something that was not her fault and if her father will not tell her and if that coward of a boyfriend will not tell, I sure as hell will!"  I yelled, and everyone looked at me. 

"Damion, we need to think about the family first. What will she think when you knew everything about her and her family, and you rarely talk to her?"  

"I don't care.  I'm not leaving her!  I will talk to her soon if you threaten me with that."

"Damion we need to talk about this properly.  You barely even know this girl."  This time, it was Liz who was talking to me.  

"I think that it is sweet that he wants to hold on to her forever,"  Taylor said.  I had to admit, even though she was a pain in my ass, she was very good at know how to make me smile.  She shot me a grin and I returned it. 

"Fine!  When everything falls down around us we can blame Damion," Liz said. 

I left the room.  I had to get some air and the time with Kevin today didn't help matters.  I just want to hunt him down.  I got a text and saw it was from Katie.

Katie: I can't act like everything is okay, Damion.

I couldn't believe that she was texting me.  Why, me?

Me: What do mean?  You can't just leave him.

Katie: If you love me you will come over and talk to me.
