Luhan's POV
I held Ace's hand as we approached Kris. I absolutely adore this kid. He resembles Kris in many ways. His walk, the way he talks, and his cold stares. I just can't wait for the time that he will melt all the girls' heart.
"Yo! Kris." I greeted.
"Luhan!" He replied as we did our handshake.
"Now, who is this little guy over here?" He said as he messes Ace's hair.
"He is your son Kris." I thought.
"Kris, meet my nephew, Ace." I said as I gestured Ace to bow. Luckily, he did.
"Hi! there little Ace. Nice to meet you." Kris greeted Ace.
"Please stop calling me little!! I already go to school!!" Ace whined to Kris.
Oh no! It had started. The father and son fight. How cute.
"Hold it there Ace. Hahahaha!! You're so funny." Kris said as he continued to laugh.
"Whatever old man." And with that response, Ace walked towards his classroom words. Even I too, but as I thought that he was Kris' son, it's pretty normal.
I followed both of them and watched as the father and son started to bicker.
"What did you just call me?" Kris asked Ace.
"I said, whatever old man." Ace replied coldly.
"Hey! Stop right there. Hey!!! Ace!!" Kris tried to call him to stop but Ace did not listen.
"I'll handle this. You can go now Kris. I don't want the school to turn into a press conference. Parents are starting to look at you." I warned him.
"Fine. But this will not be the last time I will see Ace. He's got my interest." Kris replied then started to walk to his car.
Oh! I'm sure it won't be the last time you see your son Kris.
I entered Ace's classroom and walked towards his chair.
"Ace." I called.
"Uncle, why is he annoying?" He cutely asked and I pinched his nose.
"Because you're gonna love him." I replied.
"What do you mean?" He asked again.
"Nothing. So, first day of school, be good okay? Mom and Uncle trusts you. You're our little.. err.. Big man." I said and smiled as I patted his head.
"Ok. You're starting to get cheesy. You must go now. The teacher must be here right now. Bye." He replied as he gestured me to go out.
"Ok,ok,ok. Bye young man." I said and winked.
I exited the classroom and heade towards my car.
"So, how's Ace?" Amber welcomed me with a question.
"Ace is okay. We're not. I'm gonna be late for my meeting with some investors." I said and drove off to the office as fast as I could.
"Like father like son." I whispered but it was loud enough for Amber to hear.
"Yeah. That happens a lot. Lately, Ace has been developing characteristics that resembles Kris a lot. Sometimes, I think it was unfair." Amber said.
"Well, he is his father. What else can you do?" I replied.
I heard her sigh.
We arrived at the office with her tailing me. She's my secretary okay? Don't think it another way.
"Miss Liu, can you elaborate my meetings for today?" I asked.
"You have a meeting at 10:00 am with the Lee Corporation. It is important because you'll be meeting their heir."
"After that, you'll have a lunch meeting with Mr. Hwang at Hamperton's."
"At three you have a press conference the at The Loft Hotel together with the investors."
"Lastly, at seven, a dinner with the family at Ginger's" She said one by one.
"Okay. Let's go. They might be waiting for me at the conference room." I replied.
We quietly walked towards the conference room. It's already 9:30 in the morning, the board members must be there by now.
As I entered the conference room, a lot of the members greeted me. I just replied at them with a nod.
"Shall we start?" I asked them.
"Excuse me Mr. Lu but the new member of the board has not arrived yet." The secretary of the Lee Corp said to me.
"Well, he's considered late. We can't wait. Business is business. Let's start." I firmly said.
We started. I began to report the stocks and the investments coming in and out of the corporation. While I was in the middle of my report, the door suddenly opened revealing a man maybe a bit older than me.
"Excuse me Mr., who are you?" I asked.
"I apologize to everyone for my unforgivable behavior. Mr. Lu, I'm really sorry. I'm Lee Donghae by the way, from the Lee Corp." He said as he made a 90 degree bow to everyone.
"It's okay.. For now.. Mr., Lee. Please sit so that the meeting will proceed." I said to him.
I continued my report and eventually, it ended with a success. The board clapped their hands. I look at my watch and noticed that it's already 11:30 am.
"I should go now." I whispered to myself.
"Ms.Liu, let's go. We still have a lunch meeting, right?" I asked as I look at Amber.
"Yes sir. 12:00 nn meeting with Mr. Lee at Hamperton's." She said.
As we were exiting the building, an familiar car parked beside mine.
Oh! No. Not again.
"Luhan!" He said.
He walked towards me and as he saw the figure next to me, he froze.
"Kris." I calmly said.
"Mr. Lu, I.. I... will go to the car first." Amber said stuttering.
"You really love walking away, don't you?" Kris said obviously not referring to me.
Amber just walk towards the car like nothing happened.
"This is getting interesting." I thought. Then I followed Amber to the car and waved goodbye to Kris.
"I sure am going to love the story of these two. Destined by fate separated by themselves. Ironic right? Two stupid people inlove trying to get away and hiding their feelings from each other is just plain stupidity." I smiled at my thought as the car starts leaving Kris, dumbfounded.
