The Saddest Goodbye

Amber's POV

I closed the door as I made my way to my phone and dialed my father's number.

"Dad." - me

"I know." - Father

"I'm scared." - me

"Don't be. You had nothing against him. Maybe, it was just a simple greeting." - Dad

"Have you talked to the Lees?" - Me

"I already did. And that was years ago. I don't know why he contacted you after so many years but I'll have my way to know." - Dad

"Ok dad. (Sighs)" - me

"Don't be scared angel. We can handle this. Say hi to Ace and Danillei for me okay?" - dad

"Daniellei?" - Me

"Can you do me the favor?" -dad

"Of course, that's a very nice name. Thanks dad. I love you." - me

"I love you too angel. Hope to see you on one of my trips in China." - dad

"Looking forwards to it dad. Take care!!!" - me

Then the line went dead.

I couldn't quite understand how he came back after all that happened. He was the one who ruined the entire arrangement and I was the one who got tired fixing it. I could still remember his lies when things were just the way I thought it was..

Flashback

"Sephi! Come here! I want to show you something!!!" A sixteen-year-old blonde guy called my thirteen year old self from our family's common room.

"What is it Hae? You've been disturbing me all my life!!!!!" I yelled.

"What about Jackie? Has he not been disturbing you all your life?" He asked smirking and looking to his cousin, Jackson.

"Why am I in the conversation all of the sudden? Can you please just marry each other?" The younger boy asked annoyingly.

"Too bad I have to wait five more years to fulfill the arrangement." Hae said looking at me with his annoying smirk.

"Whatever Hae. If you hurt noona. Noona's mine!!!" A nine-year old Jackson screamed and went out of the door.

"What was that?" A woman with an apron came out of the kitchen asked.

"That was nothing nanny Lily, just Jackson with his usual outbreaks." I explained.

"What have you done this time Lee Donghae?" Nanny Lily asked.

"Nothing. Just said the truth about marrying his beloved noona." Hae said while looking at me.

"You know that he was just a boy. He can't understand those things." Nana Lily defended.

"Nanny, we have no escape to this so-called fate. Sephi and I are born with it. The arrange ment has been planned long before we were born. And we have no choice but to go with it." Hae replied and went upstairs.

I shrugged and went to the kitchen to find some foods.

"Sephi?" Called nanny.

"Yes Nanny?" I asked.

"Do you have any thoughts about what's going on?" She asked.

"Actually nanny, I don't know yet and I don't care yet. As what Hae said, it was useless for us to complain for it has been our fate long before we were born. So for this moment, I'll just eat your freshly baked cookies and enjoy my life!" I said and Nanny Lily just laughed.
