It was monday morning when I woke up from a very angry rainstorm. Ace's school called that school is out for today so I went to Ace's room and told him he could sleep some more.

I headed to the kitchen to prepare some breakfast. I made some corn soup topped with some sliced boiled eggs to ease the cold weather. Today seems so peaceful. The weather might be throwing some of its tantrum but it feels rather comfortable staying inside and sleeping without worrying about anything.

Kris was out for a week because he has got some business to attend. We discussed last month that he'll stop his carreer in showbusiness and focus more on his father's company. I bet he's going to get bored but he says he's doing it so that Ace can have a normal life out of the spotlight. I agreed knowing that it is for the sake of Ace.

I served the soup into two white bowls and let it go warm enough to eat. I put it in a tray and headed towards Ace's room. A breakfast in bed would be perfect in this kind of weather.

"Wakey! Wakey! Sunshine, I've got some yummy breakfast for you." I sang as I entered his room.

Ace got up and smiled as he settled his bed for us to eat into.

"Mom, why do we have storms?" He asked out of the blue.

I thought for a moment and smiled.

"Sometimes storms are made for us to appreciate the sunshine." I replied.

"Will you be alright after the storm, Mom?" He asked.

"We will be alright Ace." I answered.

"Well, if that's the case, it'll be alright then." He replied and ate his bowl of soup.

We talked about other stuffs. He asked mainly about Kris and his job, his grandpa, and the cat lady living next door. He also requested a dog for his birthday which will be next month. I planned to suprise him with one since he doesn't have any allergies (thank God!)

"Done!!!" He shouted in glee as he raised his bowl and wave it. I grabbed it and I told him to get a bath.

He ran to outside his room making me chase him when the doorbell rang.

"I'll be there in a minute Ace!! I'll catch you in a minute." I said as I head towards the maindoor.

"Hello, is this Ms. Liu's apartment?" The delivery man asked.

"Yes." I replied.

"Here is a bouquet of flowers and a letter for you miss." He replied and handed me the sunflowers and a navy blue envelope.

"Thank you. From whom did these came from?" I asked.

"It says... unknown miss." He said as he read his portfolio.

"Ohh. Okay." I replied and signed the paper.

I closed the door and went to the kitchen to assemble the flowers on the counter.

"Mom!!!" Ace shouted from his room.

I almost forgot about him. Silly. I ran towards his room and left the deliveries in the kitchen counter.

"Where is my little man at?" I said as I pretended not seeing him.

*giggles*

"There you are!!" I shouted when I found him behind his favorite blue poler bear.

*giggles*

"You found me mom.*giggles*" Ace said.

I hugged him and carried him to the his bathroom for a bath. He literally smells like a spoiled milk. Gross, but I still love him. That's why I'm giving him a bath. #momduties

"Have you seen the geeky man living next door mom?" He asked as I put his dirty clothes into the laundry basket.

"I haven't seen him babe, why?" I asked.

"Nothing. He always smiles whenever I passed him at the lobby. He seems kind. He helps always helps me put the trash away whenever you asked me to." He replied.

"Well, he sounds like a nice guy. You should thank him. Okay?" I replied.

"I already did." He replied and continued playing on the water.

The bath ended up dramatically with Ace resisting to go out of the tub. So, I have to drag him out of there and comfort his post-tantrum booty for an hour until he fell asleep in my arms.

I settled him in his bedroom and watched as the storm still banging the city with its nasty thundering. I went in to our bedroom and prepared for my long and relaxing bath.

I finished my relaxing bath, blowed my hair dry, and fell asleep on the couch.

I woke up from the sound of a text notification from my phone. It was Kris, asking if the storm has calmed down. I replied telling it hasn't but we're safe so he does not have to worry.

I checked the time and I went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. I'm hungry and Ace will surely be too when he wakes up. I better get ready or he'll be crying like the storm again.

I've noticed that these past few days Ace has been very sensitive to everything. Crying or laughing over small things. He's so moody. I guess its because he's into that level where he's figuring everything out and with his capability as a child he tends to get annoyed for not being able to understand or do the things he's curious of. As always, I don't tolerate this developing attitude by giving him disciplinary actions like if he's being a bad boy I would let him sit on a chair facing a wall and let him contemplateabout his fault until he realizes and voluntarily apologize.

As I wa preparing the ingredients, I realized I haven't taken of the sunflowers delivered to me this morning. I went near and arranged it into the counter. It added a warm vibe into my kitchen.

When I gathered the wrapping of the package to throw, a letter slipped into the floor. It was the navy blue letter. I opened it and read, to my despair, it says:

"You are cordially invited to the Lee & Liu wedding this coming 24th of March 2013... "

What the...

I looked for the sender and in the back it says,

"Back to get you, my lost wife."
