Grandpa's Bday

I wrapped up the last of my grandpa's gift. I got him a new toolbox, he always uses his old one where the box is rusting,  his actual tools are broken. I know I got him a really good gift, I mean I know he will love it, he's great with fixing things. I got dressed at around 11, by the time I had finished it was 12:30. I laid down with my siblings and watched SpongeBob, no matter how old I am, I still love SpongeBob. Anyway, my mum was out for a while, I waited for her to return. I was still so tired, I cooked up late breakfast......very late breakfast ..... for my siblings. After that I took a seat on the couch and played Assassins Creed Revelations on my ps3. Yes. I love Assassins Creed, I can't say that I'm good but I still enjoy playing it. By the time it was 4 and my mom arrived back home I stopped playing.  We're meeting at my grandparents house at 6 so still got 2 hours to go. I suddenly hear my ringtone go off on my phone, I walk over and answer.

"Hello", I answered curiously.

"Hey stranger", I heard a smirk from the other line.

"Jai, so what do I owe this pleasure?" I questioned.

"I would like to ask whether my family and I were able to attend your grandfather's dinner", Jai replied in a British accent.

"Sure, I'll text you the address", I laughed hanging up.

I texted Jai the address and placed my phone in the pocket, my mum beckoned us to leave at around 5. I did a few touch ups with my make up, my eyes kept watering and it irritated me but I didn't let that ruin my make up. I tidied up the house a little and before I knew it, we were leaving. We got into the car and started our journey to see the pops. We passed many houses and shops, I was so excited to watch Alvin and the chipmunks.

"Hey Revon", Jai called out as I parked the car. "Should you be driving with that many passengers?"

"Ssshhhhh", I slightly giggled.

"You tricked her into getting you to drive didn't you?" Jai smirked leaning against his car.

"Yeah, it was easier than I thought", I smiled.

We walked inside and wished everyone, I greeted Alana and Trent and brought the gifts along. I instantly turned the tv on, Alvin and the chipmunks was starting in 10 minutes. We waited, whilst we did I talked with Jai.

"Revon..... I want to get a girlfriend", Jai blurted out.

"Oh ok.... why would you tell me?" I asked confused.

"Because I need your help to find a girl I could get to know..... you know..... so I can get over Megan", he choked looking away.

"You're still hung up on her?" I asked.

"It's not my fault.... she's so perfect, her eyes are so gaze worthy, her smile just melts my heart, her hair falls perfectly of her shoulders. She drives me crazy", he breathed out. "Which is why I need to move on, cause.... I've lost her".

"I'm sorry, I'll help you. I'll check my contacts.....here", I replied showing him my contacts.

"Hmm, how about Hailee?" Jai questioned.

"She's like 19", I laughed.

"Oh.... um Willow Shields"  he smiled and looked at me.

"She's one year younger than you", I scoffed rolling my eyes.

"So? You're dating someone 1 year older than you", he yelled.

We were silent for a while.

"I'm s-sorry", I stuttered.

"No I'm sorry, I shouldn't of yelled", he apologised.

"It's ok, so. I'll give you her number", I fake smiled.

I can't believe he wants to get a girlfriend, I couldn't help but feel jealous, but I'm over him. I gave him the number and watched the movie, I couldn't shake off the feeling that Jai was still in love with Megan. All those things he said, I never knew he felt that way about her.

"I wish they were real", I pouted looking at the tv.

"I know, I would love to be in this movie. I can't wait to see Road Chip", Jai smiled sitting back down close to me, a little to close.

I tensed up, I leaned back until I felt Jai's arm around the back of the couch.

"Oh man, sorry", I apologised leaning foward.

"Sorry that's my fault", he quickly answered back moving his hands onto his lap.

"It's ok", I slightly smiled.

Jai smiled back and reached into his pocket, he pulled his ringing phone out and answered it. A smile formed on his face.

"It's Willow", I he smiled walking away into the dark.

I went back to watching.... until my uncle took the remote and put the cricket on. Great now I'm bored. I got up and walked into the dark and bumped into someone, it was Jai.

"Oh Jai, I'm so sorry. My uncle changed the channel.... I just came to see how the talk went", I smiled.

"Oh haha, it's ok. The talk was good. When you gave her number I texted her", he chuckled. "She wants to meet up".

"Oh..... I'm happy for you", I half grinned.

We all got called for dinner, after dinner we cut the cake. We sang and blowed out the candles. My grandpa cut the cake and served the pieces for everyone to eat. Along with the cake we had ice cream and sweets. Yum! It wasn't long until we all finished. I grabbed the remote and put back Alvin and the chipmunks....... sadly it had finished. We missed the ending but it's alright. I still had a great night. Jai all of a sudden pulled me to the side.

"Sorry, I was wondering whether I could borrow some money?" He asked.

"What for?" I questioned back.

"I'm meeting up with Willow now, and I have no money to buy her flowers", he breathed out.

"Ok, um here", I smiled handing him $20. "Keep the change".

"Thanks so much, I owe you", he replied smiling.

He looked back and then back at me, he leaned in and kissed my cheek and ran out the door. Is it bad that I got chills from his kiss on my cheek.
