Wendy's POV

As today was Saturday, I was at home all day and waiting for time to pass was a burden. I kept looking at the clock every now and then, hoping that a miracle would somehow happen. That the time would be five already. I decided to study. Studying always seems to make time go faster.

As the time to meet Edwin got closer, I felt nervous. The conversation I had with him last night flashed through my mind.

Feeling nervous to meet me?

I got ready and put on a pair of skinny jeans and a blouse and putting on a jacket as it was cold outside.

I decided to leave the house fifteen minutes earlier as I didn't want to be late on my first...date? Was this a date? Fine, my first meet-up with Edwin outside school.

"Where are you going? All dressed up." My mum asked.

"I'm going to meet-up with Jessica." I lied. I didn't want to tell her now because I had to explain everything and if I did that, I would be terribly late.

"Really? I'm going to call her to confirm you know?" My mum was always over-protective of me.

"Okay, go ahead."

"What time will you be reaching there?"

"Five." I said.

"Okay, what time are you coming home?"

"Ermm... Nine?"

"Okay, make sure to be back by nine." She said and made my way to the door.

"Okay mum, love you!" I blew a kiss and closed the door behind me. I was all ready to meet him.

As I walked to the park, I pulled out my phone and called Jessica.

"Yeah?"

"Hey, my mum will be calling later to confirm I'm with you. So just say yes. Oh, and I told her that I'll be home by nine. Just to let you know, I'm meeting up with Edwin."

"Awwww... It's only the first day and you guys are...ehmmm..." She chuckled.

"It's not like that, Jess. He may just want to know me more before telling his parents."

"Yeah yeah yeah... Anyways, have fun! Tell me your experience when school resumes on Monday."

"Okay, fine."I rolled my eyes and smiled secretly.

"Be sure to tell my-"

"Yeah, I know. I'll take care of your mum so you just have fun, okay?"

"Okay, deal!"

"Bye!" She said and hung up. I stuffed my hands into my pockets and felt cozy but more and more nervous as I got closer and closer to the meeting area.

When I got there, Edwin was sitting on a bench texting.

"Hey..." I called out; he looked up and stood up. Embracing me into a hug. I couldn't help it but pushed him away, shocked at the sudden action.

"What do you think you're doing?" I said as I pointed at him. He smiled.

"Hugging my girlfriend, what's wrong?" Was he really stupid or was he acting stupid?

"A fake, remember and besides. I agreed to be your girlfriend but I didn't agree that you could touch me." He gave a look that I couldn't figure out and he giggled.

"Oh, come on. You're too cute." He said and wrapped his arm around my neck, his hand on my right shoulder and pinched my nose while saying that. I could feel the heat in me as I got the butterflies and struggled out of his arms.
