December 26th 2013.Liv's POV.
The drive back to Jay's was silent, the silence continued into the house and Jay gave me a knowing look whilst shooting Lou a glare.
"Hey don't be mad at me, I brought cheesecake!" He says, throwing his arms up in defence.
Jay rolls her eyes at him.
"I'll talk to you later." She says scowling at him.
"Liv, could you help me with dinner darling?" Jay asks me.
"I'm already part way through making the lasagne but I need a hand for the last part." She sends me a sweet smile.
"Yes of course I can." I reply, returning her smile.
"Oh mum, I could help too!" Louis exclaims, sounding hopeful.
"Oh, no honey, you go and spend some time with the girls, I want to speak with Liv." Jay says, waving him off with her hand.
Louis just shrugs his shoulders and goes upstairs.
On the other hand though, my palms begin to sweat and I begin to visualise different scenarios where Jay fires me.
"You aren't in trouble honey." Jay says, noticing my nervous demeanor.
"Oh, what did you want to talk about then?" I ask curiously.
"I wanted to apologise for letting slip where you and Harry were having your date, and I also wanted to make sure it didn't get too ugly." She says, looking at the ground.
"Oh gosh, no Jay please don't stress about it, I didn't let anything get too bad." I smile reassuringly at her.
"Oh that's good then! I'm so sorry its just that Louis tends to get territorial when he likes a girl." Jay admits.
"Likes a girl? Louis can't like me." I say quietly, thinking about the night I told Louis that nothing could happen between us because of our situation.
"Oh, I know he does, I'm his mother, he has got it bad." She smirks at me.
"Oh." Is all I say.
We prepare the rest of dinner in silence, Jay sneaking smiles at me every now and then.
Once we finish cooking I go upstairs to use the toilet before dinner, once I wash my hands and leave the bathroom I find Louis waiting for me.
"Hey Liv, dinner smells amazing!" He says with a grin.
"Well thank your mum because all I did was help put it together at the end, its all her." I smile politely.
"Did anyone ever tell you that you have beautiful eyes?" He asks very seriously.
"U-um thanks." I reply.
Louis then takes a strand of my hair between his fingers and leans a little closer to me.
Not knowing what to say or do I quickly make an excuse to get out of our close proximity.
"I gotta go and set the table." I say, quickly excusing myself from the situation, partly because I sensed a kiss about to happen, and if I'm honest I'm not sure if I would want it to stop once we started; and that can't happen. .I practically run downstairs and set up for dinner, making it my mission to avoid Louis for a while...
Once dinner was ready all of the girls and Louis came downstairs and sat down, thanking Jay and myself for their meal before beginning to eat.
The topic for basically the whole meal was mine and Harry's date, which seemed to irk Louis who was acting really uncomfortable and irritated.
Many tines he reminded us all that it was just coffee, he sulked for the rest of the meal after Lottie said that it sounded very much like a date to her and everyone agreed with her.
He was the first to excuse himself, mumbling something about needing a shower.
"Oh yeah Liv, he doesn't like you at all!" Jay says putting emphasis on the word 'like' after Louis was out of earshot, grinning at me.
After everyone finishes dinner I help Jay wash up before heading upstairs where everyone seems to be sleeping....
