Sehun was fully dressed with new clothes again and he sat down on his bed, pressing away on his phone that he had found in the bag Kai handed to him. Baekhyun exited the toilet, naked and picked up the towel Sehun had laid out for him. There were 5 messages from Kai and each one were asking him if he was adapting well or if he can sleep or why isn't he replying. A small smile lingered on his lips until he felt the bed shifted in position. He turned to see Baekhyun only with the towel around his waist.
"H-hyung. What are you doing?" Sehun asked panicky. He really didn't want to go through another round of embarrassment that quickly.
"I. No. I'll see you tomorrow. Go to sleep early, okay? We have class," Baekhyun said while standing up. Sehun blinked in confusion. Baekhyun kissed Sehun's forehead before leaving the room. His eyes stared at the door for a moment until he felt a vibration in his hand. Kai was calling and he answered.
"Yah! Why haven't you been replying me?! I thought something had happened again!" He heard Kai's worried voice.
"Ah... Sorry. I... didn't know you put my phone inside the bag," Sehun answered uneasily. He felt something was off with Baekhyun's behavior but decided he can ask tomorrow.
"Eesh. You're coming to school tomorrow right?" Kai asked. Sehun looked inside the now empty bag again.
"But I don't have my books except the few notes and homework you handed to me," Sehun said in worry. He heard Kai sigh.
"Don't worry. We shall head over to your house tomorrow after school to pick up whatever you need. Is that fine?"
"Kai... I thought my house is in lock down?" He heard a soft gulp on the line.
"Well. Uh... I have some connections and you know... just, I'll tell you tomorrow. Rest well and good night!!" Kai sped through his words and cut the call. Sehun was left in confusion again. Is everyone hiding something from him? It made him realize just how much effort he hadn't put in to be a proper friend with anyone including Kai.
Now that I think about it. I don't even remember his full name. I think I should try trusting people again. Maybe.

A knock on his door made Sehun open his eyes. He sat up, feeling groggy and the door slid open. The maid from yesterday bowed at him.
"Breakfast is ready. It's time to get up for school as well," She said with a rather stoic expression. Sehun nodded and got up. The door was closed and yesterday's memories came flooding back into his mind. He changed into his school uniform and brushed his teeth, not bothering with a shower since he had one last night. He placed the homework and notes into the empty bag. He opened the door and wasn't sure which way to go when a butler walked up to him.
"Good morning, young sir. Is something the matter?" The man asked politely. Sehun bowed.
"I'm a little lost. A girl just told me that breakfast was served but I don't know where to go," Sehun replied awkwardly. He felt small suddenly. The butler was about to say something when Sehun was tackled instead.
"Good morning, Hunnie!!!" Baekhyun's cheerful voice rang in his ears as he bear hugged the younger boy.
"Morning, hyung," he greeted back and straightened himself.
"I'll lead him from here! Thanks," Baekhyun thanked the butler who nodded with a smile before walking away. "Did you have a nice sleep?" He held Sehun's arm and started walking, dragging him along.
"I guess so. It was pleasant. What about you, hyung?" Sehun asked back and noticed Baekhyun's hardened expression before he smiled again.
"It was fine. Do you have anything to do after school?"
"Yes. I need to take my books from my house with Kai," Sehun said.
"Oh. I'll follow you. Then we can come home together after that," Baekhyun replied cheerfully as he opened the door to a dining room. Sehun noticed Baekhyun's father sitting there with the newspaper.
Woah.
"Good morning," he greeted the two youngsters who bowed in response before taking their seats opposite him. Two plates of eggs, bacons and toast were placed in front of them as well as culinaries. Sehun was speechless until Baekhyun nudged him.
"Is it unsuitable for you?" Baekhyun asked. Sehun shook his head frantically.
"Just a little surprised." They ate in silence and just before they left, they were handed lunchboxes. Sehun was surprised yet again since he had always make his own lunchbox. Everything seemed so fancy to him. A car was even waiting for them.
"Hyung, you're like a prince," he said unconciously and Baekhyun giggled.
"Maybe that's why I'm so spoilt. You better get used to it too." The ride to school was silent but Sehun wasn't complaining since he preferred it this way. When they reached, a few seniors approached them and started exchanging greetings with Baekhyun. Kai also jogged over to them and Sehun bowed them before leaving with Kai.
"How does it feel to ride a car to school?" Kai asked while grinning. Sehun thought for a moment.
"It's just not as tiring?" Kai handed him a pencil box as soon as they entered class and sat down. For some odd reason, Sehun felt awkward. He turned his head and saw a few people turning away. It was obvious they were looking at him.
"Don't bother with them. They've been a little spiteful about you having Baekhyun sunbae approaching you and also not attending classes for awhile," Kai explained their classmates' behavior. Sehun sighed, half wishing he could go back to his peaceful(?) days.
"Why exactly is Baekhyun hyung so popular?" Sehun questioned, still quite oblivious to that fact. Kai smirked.
"He's a yakuza's son so he's got this kinda status in school. Those who approach him have to be brave and those who befriend him have to be loyal. You're the first person to ever get him to come towards you."
"You mean... he never approached anyone first?" Sehun asked while raising an eyebrow in disbelief. Kai nodded in response. "Well, him approaching me sure caused me some trouble." Kai laughed at Sehun's bluntness. He wasn't afraid of Baekhyun anymore since he had gotten to know him better.
"You're still sharp as always," Kai chuckled.
"What about you? What makes you popular?" Sehun's question caught Kai off guard. He never expected him to ask him about himself so he stared at Sehun for solid 10 seconds before incoherent words started falling out. "What?"
"Oh. Uh. I. Oh my God. Relax. I guess... I'm well liked because.. well I play sports well? I guess. You totally caught me off guard there." Sehun smiled at his friend's panic state.
"How is it that you get access to my house?" He asked bluntly after Kai regained his composure. Kai looked everywhere but him with an awkward smile on his face.
"Can you please stop with all these sudden bombs? I'm so not used to this Sehun," Kai sighed in defeat and almost exploded with tears of joy. He pulled Sehun closer and started whispering. "My father is a police officer so I got his permission to enter your house to help you take things. Don't tell anyone else that, okay?" Sehun nodded.
"Does Kyungsoo sunbae knows?" Kai shook his head. "Why not?"
"Because I haven't told him yet?I don't want to be used as an advantage so I never told anyone about it. I'll tell him soon."
The teacher came in soon after and lessons began as usual with Kai and Sehun sharing books and stationeries. Sehun felt a little more glad to know a little more about Kai now. This was the only way he felt he could repay Kai for always being by his side.
