'You ready?' Jacob asked, pulling a suitcase down the stairs.

'Just let me call Grace quickly, I'll be ten minutes.' She replied, pulling her phone out her pocket.

'Okay, I'll go and get your cases and put them in the car then.' Jacob told her, quickly kissing her cheek before putting the suitcase at the bottom of the stairs and walking back up them.

'Thanks.' She called after him. She then walked into the kitchen and called Grace.

Half an hour later they were in the car and had been driving for around twenty minutes.

'How long will it take for us to get to the ferry?' Connie asked, they were driving down to Cornwall and then a ferry across to St. Mary's island.

'Around two and a half ours, why?' He asked back.

'To see how long I have to do some paperwork.' Connie replied, reaching into her hand bag, and pulling out a load of paperwork..

'I'll let you do paperwork in the car, but as soon as we get on that ferry you're putting it away and not bringing it out at all until we get home.' He told her, she just looked at him and raised her eyebrow, which cause Jacob to chuckle.

'I want to to relax, you can't relax if your working. You deserve some time off.' He told her.

'Fine.' She sighed. 'But if I get behind, I'm not going to be happy.'

'I can live with that.' He chuckled, before putting his hand on her knee. 'I hope you enjoy this weekend.'

'I'll try.' She said, trying to concentrate on her paperwork.

'Right, Queen B, put the paperwork away.' He told her, parking the car on the ferry.

She sighed and put it in her bag.

'I made us a picnic.' Jacob smiled, reaching into the back and pulling out a hamper. 'Tuna Mayo for you, and ham for me.'

They sat in silence as they ate, stealing glances ad smiling at each other every now and then.

'I think this will be a good weekend.' Connie smiled once they had finished.

Jacob opened the door, and stepped aside to let Connie in.

'You rented out a whole cottage?' She asked in suprise, as she put her suitcase down by the door.

'Only the best for you.' He whispered, hugging her from behind and placing his chin on her shoulder.

'Thank you.' She whispered back, placing her hands over his. They stood like that for a while, just chatting about everything and nothing at the same time.

'I'm glad I have you.' Connie told him, almost out of the blue. She turned around in his arms to face him, he smiled at her and looked into her eyes. She looked so happy and peaceful, she looked as though a weight had been lifted. This made Jacob smiled even more, and he gave her a quick peck on the lips.

'I'm glad I have you, too.' He whispered.
