'Mum, who's Ollie?' Grace asked, hugging Connie tighter.
'I used to live with him, he was my boyfriend until about two weeks ago.' Connie told her, she could feel her heart rate rising and a wave of nerves hit her.
'I'll ask again, what the hell are you doing here?' They heard Jacob growl.
'I wanted to see Connie, to talk to her.' Ollie replied with a smirk.
'If you step foot in this door, she can have you arrested for breaking the rules of the Restraining Order.' Jacob warned him.
'I'll explain later Grace.' Connie whispered, suddenly shaking.
'Step back, now.' Jacob ordered.
'I don't want to.' Ollie sneered, stepping closer to Jacob.
Jacob felt the anger rise to boiling point as Ollie stepped closer to him.
'What kind of a man do you think you are? You can't pick on a man your own size, so you pick on a vulnerbale and afriad woman, who couldn't hurt a fly, even if she wanted you. You're no man, a real man wouldn't hit a woman, a real man would defend a woman that is being hit. You're nothing more than something that I happened to have the distaticfation of stepping on.' Jacob glared at him, fighting back the urge to punch Ollie.
'Connie didn't see it that way.' Ollie smirked again.
'She is worth more than you, much more than you would ever be worth.' Jacob told him again.
Grace crept up to the side and grabbed Connie's phone and turned it on.
'Call the police when its on.' Grace whispered, passing Connie the phone.
'Look, I don't want you to be involved! Step aside now!' Ollie shouted, trying to push past Connie.
'I'm afraid I am not going to let that happen. See, I want to protect Connie.' Jacob replied, pushing Ollie back slightly.
'Move!' Ollie shouted again.
Jacob resoonded by punching Ollie square in the jaw. Which resulted in Ollie falling to the floor on the doorstep.
'Hi, could I have police please?' Connie asked, speaking into the phone.
'I want you to leave now.' Jacob spoke, sounding calmer than before.
'No chance.' Ollie smirked, holding his bleading lip.
'Ollie, leave. Now.' Jacob said again.
'The police will be here soon.' Connie told Grace.
Connie didn't know what to do. She couldn't go out there and leave Grace, but she didn't think she could stay hidying and expecting Jacob to deal with it all. She knew the police would be there soon, as the Island was fairly small, so they could get their fairly quickly. She just wished they would hurry up.
Ollie pulled a lighter out of his pocket, and a can of petrol from around the side of the house.
'You might want to be very careful about your next move.' Ollie warned, dripping some of the petrol over the door step.
'Connie! Get upstairs now!' Jacob yelled back to Connie and Grace.
Connie picked up Grace and ran behind Jacob and upstairs into Jacob and Connie's room, before locking them in.
Connie knelt down in front of Grace and held her cheeks. Grace had tears in her eyes, and Connie could see the fear in them.
'Grace, look at me. Grace, I need you to be brave right now, okay? No crying, just be brave please? The police are on their way, and we'll be out soon. Jacob will hold Ollie off.' Connie could see Grace blinking back tears. 'I'm sorry Grace, I'm so sorry.
