Liam’s POV
It’s Monday and my nerves were picking up. When I woke up this morning in my hotel I had completely forgot that Cassidy was in bed next to me, until I stood up and saw her delicate face was sleeping on the pillow next to mine. Her body was curled into itself making her look like a small child.
“Cass,” I whispered leaning down and shaking her arm a bit. She groaned and rolled over ignoring me. I laughed to myself before checking the clock, she still had four hours before her appointment. I could let her sleep for another hour. But what was I going to do while I paced around nervously waiting for this?
“Liam,” Cassidy groaned. I rushed over to her side and kneeled down on the hotel carpet looking at her half asleep face.
“Yes love? Can I get you something? Are you alright?” I asked in a rush. I wasn’t nervous that something was wrong with her, I just really needed to busy myself before I went into a state of shock. Cassidy let out a small laugh before reaching behind her and pulling my phone over her body.
“Answer your phone, the vibrate is kind of annoying,” Her brown eyes opened letting me see her brown eyes. She thrusted my phone to me again snapping me out of my day dreaming stare into her eyes. I checked the caller I.D before pressing the phone to my ear.
“Hey Louis,” I sighed, I felt Cassidy get up from the bed and press her hand to my shoulder. She stood on her tip toes and whispered in my ear opposite of the one with my phone pressed to it.
“I’m going to go shower.” When she walked away I couldn’t help but watch her. The weekend had gone nice l discussing everything that was going to happy throughout her pregnancy. It was fun looking up baby names and making fun of some of them. Every time someone even mentioned the word baby Cassidy’s face would light up, which was one of the cutest things I’d ever seen.
“Hey Liam! Where have you been?!” Louis was probably drunk, in London right now it was nearing eleven which meant Louis would be at the bar, or coming home from the bar. That is if he were in the mood for a party.
“I’ve been,-” I took a pause and looked around my hotel room. It was neat with my suitcase open on the small table next to the dresser. Cassidy’s over night bag was on the sink counter by the door. And really that was the only evidence of life in the room, aside from the unmade bed. “Places.” I finished my sentence to Louis.
“Well you that helps Li, but really when are you coming home? We miss you!” Yup, Louis was most definitely drunk. Louis was never the one to admit out loud when he was missing one of us, apart from Harry who was joined at the hip with our tommo. No for those of you questioning, Larry Stylinson was strictly a bromance, nothing more and nothing less.
“Louis I will be home tomorrow morning, are you okay mate?” I laughed a bit sitting down on my bed. I watched the bathroom door open and the steam from the shower covered Cassidy. But when it cleared Cassidy’s hair was all pushed to one side of her head with a white towel wrapped around her body. She looked up at me and smiled before blushing and going to her bag.
“Liam?” I had totally forgotten Louis was on the other line of the phone. I jumped and Cassidy tried to giggle quietly so that Louis wouldn’t hear her, but she failed because Louis questioned it.
“Liam James! Is that a girl I hear?! You left me here to go see a girl!” I laughed at Louis and then answered him while putting him on speaker. Cassidy probably deserved to hear this, Louis was honestly an entertainment.
“Lou I’m sorry, it was kind of important, you’ll meet her eventually.” Cassidy shook her head and then looked down to her stomach, to make sure she got her point a crossed to me she pointed to it. My face change to “Don’t-even-say-that” and she sighed.
“Eventually? Liam you better bring that girl back here with you!” Cassidy had been covering her finger in cover-up but she looked up at me fast and in complete shock. I shrugged not knowing what to say.
“We’ll see Louis but I have to go. Bye.” I hung up the phone and threw it over to bed relieved that conversation was over. I wasn’t going to bring Cassidy to the boys until she was ready, if ever. I mean of course I would want the boys to know my son or daughter, but if Cassidy never wanted to meet the boys, I wouldn’t make her. Though I felt like it was a good idea.
“So what if you did decide to come back to London with me,” Cassidy’s head snapped up and her face dropped. I instantly wanted to punch myself in the face, why would I do that? How could I be so stupid. I should have just let her come to me about it.
“Why would I do that?” I was surprised that her reply was so calm. She seemed like she was going to tell at me, which wouldn’t be unacceptable. That offer was totally inappropriate for meeting her formally just three days ago.
“I just thought, well you’re having my baby, and I’m going to have to tell the boys eventually, and I thought maybe if you came to London, for like two weeks or something to get to know the boys, and we’ll tell them before you leave,” I bit my lip trying not to seem so nervous about her answer. What if she said no? Then we had to go to this doctor appointment awkwardly while she gave me annoyed looks because overstepped my place in the pregnancy.
“I’ll think about it okay? Plus I have to ask my mom, but right now, can we just live through this doctors appointment?” I swallowed thickly and nodded my head. I was more than relieved that she hadn’t just flat out said no, I mean that would have sucked. I wanted the boys to be part of this, they’re like my brothers.

“Cassidy Ledman,” The women doctor called Cassidy’s name making us both jump. Cassidy’s mom was sat next to us but had already asked if she could just wait in out here while the two of us went in.
“Follow me,” The women smiled. She was dark skinned with black hair falling down to her shoulders in tiny tight curls, kind of like Danielle’s. I mentally hurt myself multiple times because I was trying so hard not to think about Danielle while with Cassidy. It had been working too, I wasn’t sure why I had randomly jumped at the thought of her.
“So Cassidy is there any medical history in your family that I should know about?” I didn’t really pay attention to the questions the women was asking Cassidy, that was until Cassidy grabbed my arm that was covered in a black long sleeve shirt.
“huh?” I looked up to see Cassidy with a small smile playing on her lips. She was now laid back on the table with her shirt pulled up. I smiled back at her before listening for the question.
“Are you the father?” The women smiled at me. At the sound of myself being called a father to the baby she was looking at right now made my heart flutter. I felt a smirk play on my lips as I nodded my head.
“Well you’ll be glad to know that your baby is due sometime around February 15th, now mom you’re going to have to take vitamins, but that’s normal, your baby seems very healthy as of right now,” Healthy? That was all I needed to hear to be happy, our baby was healthy. Sure it really wasn’t a baby yet, more like a fetus, but it was healthy.
“Uhm, am I aloud on a plane?” Cassidy pulled her shirt down after whipping the gel from her still flat stomach. I could almost see her, with a perfectly round stomach, our baby in there.
“For right now yes, but when you get to be around seven and a half months pregnant you‘re going to want to stop, do you live here in the states?” The doctor looked at me knowing I clearly didn’t have an American accent, or maybe she just knew I was Liam Payne from One Direction.
“Uhm, no. I live over seas in London, she lives here.” The doctor looked at her clipboard and then back to Cassidy ready to explain to her what needed to happen.
“Well you are going to need to decide where you want baby to be when he or she is born, but you have plenty of time to figure that out. We’re going to go ahead and schedule your next appointment for four weeks from today which would be July 20th. The lady up front will give you a packet for your pregnancy stuff, have a good day darling.”
I helped Cassidy off the table. When she was standing in front of me we both looked down at our hands. Cassidy looked up to meet my brown eyes with hers and I felt like the world stopped. Instead of letting go of her delicate hand I laced our fingers together.
